What are you talking about?.. how you met stories and tinder terms of service?  I see nothing in the i129-f instructions about how you met.  Am I missing something?

No your not me and my fiancé met online and a immigration lawyer did our case and send a copy of our submitted I29 and there was nothing with terms of online service but yes he did have us write a letter stating how we met and a breakdown of our love and relationship but it is not a requirement but does help your case but I don’t know if certain online sites may be questionable and maybe they may request I just learn in this process that you can go crazy reading bad experiences people have been through just wait and see and if it’s a RFE it’s two extra weeks don’t worry guys

The first time I filed, I used a service to help me fill out our forms and had me write a detailed explanation of our meeting and how we came to meet in person for #54 before they would submit the paperwork for me. They also advised me to be careful when mentioning specifics apps when talking about our meeting as it could trigger an RFE in regards to the IMB question. I just did the same thing this go around. Instead of saying something like, "we started talking through WhatsApp." It would be better to say something like, "I initiated our conversation via text message using the phone number our mutual friend had given me." Thus the emphasis is that our friend helped us meet, and not the specific application, as an example.

It's a bit confusing and if one is not familiar with this terminology then it can be confusing.  There is no place on the I129f for you to spell out specifically how you met but if a document or if another entry somewhere else in your packet reference this then you should expect a RFE. Here is where they reference this on the I-129f.

#53 International Marriage Broker (IMB) information.

55. Did you meet year beneficiary through die services of an IMB? Yes - No

If you answered Yes" to Item Number 55.. provide the IMB's contact information and Website information below*. In addition. attach a copy of the signed written consent form the IMB obtained from your beneficiary authorizing your beneficiary's personal contact information to he released to you.

56. IMB's Name (if any)

I put on my story the truth that we met on Tinder and after that we met in person and it was love at first sight. He came to my country 3 years I've been in USA 3 times. I don't think meeting online can be a problem if you have proofs to show your relationship is real. Right? Made me stressed reading that can be a problem that 😕

We also didn't include terms & conditions of Tinder app... We both signed our own letter saying how we met (in a nice romantic story) and how our first date went etc, and mentioned about Tinder, but sadly it was a few days after filling that I found out that part was important if you first met online...

We also met on tinder too and didn’t include t&cs of the app.

We just both signed and dated the timeline of our relationship which was a breakdown of how we met and how the relationship progressed.

Try not to stress about it, I’m sure what you’ve provided will be fine :)

wont be long now before we have an update :)

My fiance and I also met on Tinder, however we, like you, did not include the T's and C's of the site. We just wrote a letter on how we spoke for months online and then I flew to the US, told the story on how I went from home in Australia to the states a few times and then how we got engaged over there. We included a few screenshots of our original tinder messages, some google hangout screenshots and about 25 pictures of us together.

I'm pretty happy with everything we submitted, and I suggest you take the same approach. I'm a fanatic worrier at all times and tend to stress over everything. I remember for the first 3 or 4 months after submitting the I-129F I was going through it almost nightly, worried I had missed something. I know that there is one thing on the form that I made a mistake on, but it won't get us an RFE (it was putting Melbourne as my nearest consulate instead of sydney *only SYD does K1 in Australia). But  eventually I decided that I would stop trying to control everything and just chill out. What we submitted is what we submitted and there have been people who submitted less evidence that have been approved.

Do the same, or you will go absolutely mental. If you want to stress, be like me, and just stress on what cases they are approving at the moment. Any more, and you're in strife :)

We met on Tinder too!!!

Im totally with you on having that positive perspective!

I used to over analyze what we sent in and think about what could possibly result in an RFE but it really doesn’t do us any good!

Either way if you get an RFE you just submit whatever they request and move on! We are so close to getting an update we should all be excited!!! Now stressed :)

Hoping we all hear something next month!!!!

Girl I can totally relate to you on this one!

I prepared our folder in my home country and then sent it to my fiance with thorough instructions and post it notes throughout on where he had to sign parts or add his birth certif and the passport photos etc and I have a feeling we'll get an RFE lol

My fiance forgot to write our names on the back of the passport photos (and I have read that sometimes depending on the case officer they can let it slide) but I'm preparing for an RFE.

We also didn't copy all pages of his passport as we included the front and back of his birth certif as his proof of citizenship (but recently ive been reading that both are required) so who knows what to expect!

Being away from your fiance along with your family sounds so tough! HANG IN THERE! WE are all so close!! ❤️

OMG I knew I wasn't alone lol. Yes I did the same, I put bright post it notes everywhere and explained to him like if he was a child and he was just looking at me like "It's ok I got it"... He sent me the forms after being complete and he did a mess with the scanner and he sent one without signature to my email but he swears he signed the form but he scanned the wrong one. I'm preparing for an RFE also but hopefully they will be nice with our cases!

It is tough, I have friends here but you know is not the same... I just signed up for spinning classes with a full 6 months package because I know I won't be there before December so better be distracted that overthinking about everything. Best of lucks!

My first months were very relaxed, but as the time goes by and we are close I get more anxious about it! I hope they don't ask for more information, we pretty much met a few days after talking in Tinder and we never talked there anymore, I don't have those screenshots because after a few words we switched to WhatsApp and then met a couple of days after and our first date was right after first met and that's it!

I'm trying pretty much everything to be distracted, specially because after NOA2 I have a good 5 months before moving so I don't want to stress too soon or I'll go crazy as you said.

Best of lucks for you and I hope we have news soon!

MISSING MY FIANCÉ 😭😭😭.. I feel I can't believe there are other people in the world who are world's apart from their lover. In my country , majority of people here would never be in a long distance relationship because they say it's too much stress. So I feel I'm like the only one going through this within my radius. I hang out with my family, I go out to eat, I go shopping, I try enjoy myself to fill the void. But it's not his touch! It's not his warmth.. sigh.. I get emotional towards the end of the month because aunt flo arrives with her side effects.. but I just feel like venting. Discovering all of you on this forum has helped, to know that everyone else is making the best of the situation. . I call upon the good energies of the Universe to grant us our wish to be with our True Loves Finally! May this wait be over very very very soon. Just want my future husband next to me. 😭💗 Dear USCIS hear our prayers!

I'm on day 177 today (from original reciept date ).. it looks people have been getting granted between day 182 to 193 (in general, some more , some less) so according to this general analysis, my fiancé and I are left with 5 days to 16 days go approval. This is getting wonderfully scary. And I'm ready for it.✔😭😰
