Hi Guys!

Hope you're all hanging in there! It's been so nice to see so many January approvals come through and I have faith that it won't be long until some of us February filers will see our NOA2's!

Just wanted to share with you all a positive experience I had visiting my US fiance last week with no trouble at all on entry to the US!

Upon entry I was asked a few basic questions - how long was I staying - 11 days

What was the purpose of my visit - to see my fiance

They then asked if my fiance was an american citizen - I said yes

They then asked if we had a wedding date set - I said no

They then asked what I did for work - I told them

And lastly what was my final destination - Washington DC

POE was at Lax, it was super easy, stress free, The K1 was never mentioned  and I wasn't asked to show my return ticket (which I had) and I wasnt questioned why I had 3 maasssive suitcases for 11 days 😂 Which I thought they may question but I was dropping a huuge amount of my belongings with my fiance to make the move later a little lighter!

All the best to everyone for the next coming weeks!!! WE GOT THIS!!!! HOME STRETCH VJ FAM ❤️

If u on the mind me asking. How much they charge u per extra bag?

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

I think it's dependant on the airline you fly. I had 3 bags included in my airfair so I was super lucky!

When you fill out your DS-160 is when you provide your address for your delivery of your stamped passport, if that is the case in Ireland. In Ukraine they deliver your passport through courier so the beneficiary can move basically anywhere and they don't need an updated address till then.

Nice , I’ve been over 2 visit my fiancé twice , the first time I was stopped when leaving immigration , brought back in , questioned and searched, asked had I applied for a visa.

Second time asked who I was staying with and I said my bf and they let me straight through ! I would have brought more stuff if I didn’t think I’d be searched again just didn’t want to look suspicious x

hopfully move over  there in October

Hi guys, our NOA1 is Feb 26th on the paper and old site. We are so close!

But now I'm trying to go back to the things we submitted and I'm in panic. I'm like a very organized person and when my fiance came to visit in January 2017, he took with him the folder with all the documents we needed, he was supposed to add more information like passport copies etc (to include that recent visit stamp)and other things he needed to have ready.

I'm freaking out because well, men are men lol and he is not that organized about things as I am, and I'm thinking something got lost or that we did something wrong (like for example we didn't include all passport pages / back of the birth certificate because it was blank and I just found out about that after filling) I'm just freaking out I know but I needed to vent somewhere.

I'm in another country different than my home country, without my family, in a job I don't like but I have to keep for the next months before moving to the US, with a wedding I can't yet organize because we want to ave visa on hand first... I feel like life is on hold and I've been in a numb zone for a whole year.

Anyways, thanks for reading, I wish you an easy process and good news soon!

We also didn't include terms & conditions of Tinder app... We both signed our own letter saying how we met (in a nice romantic story) and how our first date went etc, and mentioned about Tinder, but sadly it was a few days after filling that I found out that part was important if you first met online...

I was surprised I didn't get further questioned tbh! But since they never mentioned the visa I didn't bother to bring it up! I guess it'####### and miss depending on the officer you get on entry!

Ahhh that's so frustrating! Yeah it was nice to be able to take some stuff over rather than shipping it over further down the track.

Fingers crossed we see these NOA2's soon! I'd love to move in October too so putting good vibes out there for us both ❤️

Girl I can totally relate to you on this one!

I prepared our folder in my home country and then sent it to my fiance with thorough instructions and post it notes throughout on where he had to sign parts or add his birth certif and the passport photos etc and I have a feeling we'll get an RFE lol

My fiance forgot to write our names on the back of the passport photos (and I have read that sometimes depending on the case officer they can let it slide) but I'm preparing for an RFE.

We also didn't copy all pages of his passport as we included the front and back of his birth certif as his proof of citizenship (but recently ive been reading that both are required) so who knows what to expect!

Being away from your fiance along with your family sounds so tough! HANG IN THERE! WE are all so close!! ❤️

I've heard it can get quite expensive, but dependant on the airline i've flown each time I visit it differs. And also the price of the fair contributes too sometimes if I don't purchase a saver fair I get an additional checked bag free of charge :) Hope that helps.

My fiance and I also met on Tinder, however we, like you, did not include the T's and C's of the site. We just wrote a letter on how we spoke for months online and then I flew to the US, told the story on how I went from home in Australia to the states a few times and then how we got engaged over there. We included a few screenshots of our original tinder messages, some google hangout screenshots and about 25 pictures of us together.

I'm pretty happy with everything we submitted, and I suggest you take the same approach. I'm a fanatic worrier at all times and tend to stress over everything. I remember for the first 3 or 4 months after submitting the I-129F I was going through it almost nightly, worried I had missed something. I know that there is one thing on the form that I made a mistake on, but it won't get us an RFE (it was putting Melbourne as my nearest consulate instead of sydney *only SYD does K1 in Australia). But  eventually I decided that I would stop trying to control everything and just chill out. What we submitted is what we submitted and there have been people who submitted less evidence that have been approved.

Do the same, or you will go absolutely mental. If you want to stress, be like me, and just stress on what cases they are approving at the moment. Any more, and you're in strife :)

What are you talking about?.. how you met stories and tinder terms of service?  I see nothing in the i129-f instructions about how you met.  Am I missing something?

I think this refers to people who do describe the "how" part of coming to know each other in #54 in the I-129F, rather than just the where and when.  If they happen to have met online, some have received RFEs for proof that the website or app was not an IMB.
