It always seems like there are a handful of cases that get approved a couple of weeks before they start working on a month. Then they slowly start rolling in before speeding up. We probably have a couple more weeks before they really start February, but this does tell me I should start checking the website with some regularity "just in case". I'm trying to keep the balance of keeping myself busy with regular life and not stressing about when it the NOA2 will come. But checking the website gets me excited every time!

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

My guess is that you should give it another 3 weeks. Find others with similar timelines. Timeline tab at the top of the page will get you there. Review the timeline page for more tools.

HI all,

There is a 90% chance that POE will be JFK NYC with a 5% chance of IAD Washington D.C.  I find that the majority of east coast inbound international traffic is routed to NYC even if you live in a different major metropolitan area in the eastern USA.  I prefer IAD but flights to JFK from Manila are more flexible and have much more options.

Depending on your airline, you may want to check out DFW as well.  American flies there from Hong Kong and Narita with Philippine Airlines and others flying of Manila. Then a simple domestic flight into DCA or whichever area you are in the District.

I'm feeling the desperation now.. not all of January has been notified and yet a few of only Feb/7 have been approved. I'm aware of the reality of our timeline we have about 3-4 weeks  to get some news.  Regardless, I'm still incredibly excited. I pray everyday to get the amazing news on my birthday! 8/10 😁

It's highly unlikely that there's been any approvals for February yet other the expedited cases. We shouldn't really start seeing approvals for another 2 weeks. Once it starts it will slow come in. Then ramp up over time. Can't worry about it as it will only make things worse u on. Best to stay busy doing things and let things run there course. It will happen for us all at some point.

Yes! As someone who has been through this before, albeit the wait was only 4 months then, just occupying your time with other worries will help immensely. I've been taking as much overtime as I can and stockpiling money, for example. I started a new job in May and have volunteered for as many extra projects as I can, and the time has flown by. As an added bonus, I'm being considered a top contender for a promotion too. The bosses also know this workaholic thing is temporary until the love of my life gets here, so there won't be any surprises when I fall back into the normal "9-5" again so I can give Nastya all the time and attention she deserves. If you think about and occupy your mind with other things, you'll be approved before you know it and may even see other benefits in your life as well! Just stay busy! ;)

Thanks for the comment TB,

Let me go more in depth. The cheapest and quickest flights route to NYC/JFK from Manila, if your destination is the eastern U.S. I have looked at LAX, DFW, SFO, and ATL as Points of Entry but they all seem to not be cost effective or time effective.

I also did this with all direct and 1-2 layover flights to/from Moscow. The most cost effective and time efficient to/from the west side is SVO in Moscow and LAX via Aeroflot. The planes are not the most luxurious in the world, but they're fast and cheap (except for late May to late August), For a more comfortable flight, KLM is my recommendation.

Try booking Philippines Airlines to Los Angeles from Manila. Then book a domestic flight as a separate ticket. When you add the two cost together sometimes it's cheaper. I did this for my wife and the children and it saved me about $200 each ticket or $600 total. Also, look at round trip tickets and just throw the return away as sometimes this can be cheaper then a one way. Good luck.

The only problem with this one is that because the two legs are separate tickets, if you get held up at POE due to secondary or any other delays, you might not be able to get a refund on the second leg if you miss the flight. So if you do do this, ensure that you have plenty of time to make the connection, factoring unforeseen delays in immigration, customs, and security.
