the uscis site said they are processing dec 22 right now is that correct? but here on visa journey it says jan 4

Unless I missed something, the USCIS site tells you the cutoff date for being outside normal processing times (so don't bother contacting them before then). It does not tell you what they're working on right now (which is usually about a two month range of cases, excluding expedites and cases that got processed very slowly for one reason or another).

The USCIS site always shows a date previous to where they are actually working that gives them a huge window within which to work and say you are within normal processing time. It's government PR and also keeps the angry mobs with pitchforks and torches at bay since not everyone that files follows these forums and actual processing reports. VJ shows self reported data from actual filers but it's also only an estimate that requires people to keep updated timelines.

I know every Embassy is different, and everyone has different experiences, BUT, I did not make an exact copy of my I-129 F ( I'm sure I have all the documents, letters, evidence, etc. in my computer). Is it a requirement to take an exact copy to the interview?

If there is not real answer to this question, or it depends on the embassy, I apologize ahead of time. :)

It's rare that the same question gets asked from two different people from two different threads. :D

There is no need for you to have a copy of the I-129f for the interview. The Embassy will have a digital copy that you submitted when you applied at the beginning. So nope, no need to have a copy.

What my wife and I did was every single piece of paper connected with getting her visa she organized in a folder and carried it to every meeting or appointment she had. If they were going to ask by golly she was going to reach in that folder and bam!!! that it was. To this day she still has the folder and she continues to add to it and use it. We have never found ourselves without the document that we need for any procedure.

What I did was scanned every piece of paper that I had control of and upload a copy to a cloud account. You can get them from Google (Google Drive) or DropBox to name a few. These are typically free up to 1 TB of info.

I did. She confirmed my new address was updated on their end as well but I didn't bother with asking about my case status.

Hi all, once the foreign fiance comes to the USA and you marry and are waiting for AOS, can you travel by plane within the USA? I know they can't leave the country but wondering if we can take a trip domestically. Thanks!

Fiancé(e) can travel to any state or territory but they can't travel further unless they have applied and received there EAD/AP card which is part of the AOS. Here is more: USCIS now issues employment and travel authorization on a single card for certain applicants filing an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485*. The card looks similar to the current Employment Authorization Document (EAD) but will include text that reads, "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole." A card with this text will serve as both an employment authorization and Advance Parole document.

If you leave the US don't be gone more than 30 days as it may appear to immigration that you have abandon your AOS. I highly recommend you do a little more research based on your itinerary.

Go up to the blue ribbon and select "immigration timelines" then scroll down the page to "adjustment of status" and there you will see what current people are experiencing. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11
