I was freaking out about this cos I was worried I was gonna miss important mail relating to the visa application, I actually started a new topic on here to ask how i update my address (as the beneficiary) and the response I got was that the petitioner can update their address with USCIC if it changes, but if the beneficiary has an address change all you can do is try and update that at NVC stage - but apparently this a bit hit and miss - but I got assured even if the beneficiary misses any mail after NOA2 you will be able to find out what you need to do next (what documents are needed for the medical, etc etc) online anyways so it's not too much of an issue - and then when it comes to getting the actual visa i believe you can instruct it to be delivered at a certain address. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody but that's what my understanding of it is after querying it on here :)

You can probably use a nearby relative's address in the interim if that's an option. I'm moving here in the next month and have already changed my address to that of my parents since I see them once per week until I get settled into my new place.

I did see on the german consulate page that you provide the address where you want the visa mailed after the interview. It also says you can contact them to update your address. So he might do that as well as have mail forwarded and hopefully it won’t screw anything up. I would imagine that this happens a lot as people have to give you housing ahead of moving and with zero actual timeline it must be common??

Is that the USCIS you've notified about your address change?

Yeah true, I imagine a bunch of people must change address running up to obtaining the visa so it must be pretty common. I think tomorrow i'll contact royal mail to arrange for my mail to be redirected to my parents just incase I miss anything that gets posted to my old address. But I'm gonna get my fiance to ring NVC once we get approved just to try and ensure they have my new address on file anyway

Hi to All! I was a silent reader for the last 5 month (NOA-1 02/16/2018 old web site, 02/20/2018 new web site). I haven't checked the new web site for the last week, but I did that today and saw that "we received your case" is written twice in our case history. Do you think it's a bag of the web site or everyone see the same and it means nothing? :huh:5b4b98d889bfb_ScreenShot2018-07-15at21_47_13.thumb.png.cf445963e0d861178010a43cce2a60f7.png

Mine has had the same thing for about the last 2 weeks.

Found this on Twitter. Hopefully we will see less rfe. But may explain why it's taking a bit longer as they search for info that's missing.

USCIS is rescinding a 2013 Policy Memorandum that addressed policies for the issuance of Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs) when the evidence submitted at the time of filing did not establish eligibility.

I agree that your first point is correct, but I don't think it's to the point that it is causing the undue delays that most are experiencing. Of course, not having access to what "databases" they are using to look for missing documentation, leaves me to believe they can only look so far for a TOS for "Cherrie Blossoms" or a missing check mark on the 129f. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just questioning USCIS' motive. I didn't see a date that the revision occurred. Are you certain that this is relatively new information hence your speculation for the explanation it "may explain why it's taking a bit longer as they search for info that's missing".

Something new that struck me as possible new direction in the adjudication process is, I have never seen or heard that USCIS would send out two RFE's or send another RFE after the first was received by USCIS. I guess there is a good possibility that the first RFE satisfied the adjudicator in every case that I a familiar with.

I think the jury is still out as to what is happening at USCIS to slow this process down as much as it has. Just my 2 cents.

PS is there a # tag that I could have to follow the twit. Now my Sherlock Holmes hat is on. :jest:
