So does the beneficiary get the NOA2?

also, I’m a Tanzanian. I was just in Australia for sometime.

So don’t think looking at Australian posts would help.

U will get  packet from Tanzanian embassy With what u need to do as beneficiary.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Hi all,

Now that it seems we could be about a month away from NOA2, we've started doing some planning. My fiance is planning to come here the first week of September for 2 weeks. Hopefully then I can give him the form I need to complete and any other paperwork I have to give him (whatever that is...I have it written down :)).

He is going to give notice to his job soon (he needs to give 4 weeks) as well as his apartment. His plan is to move in with a friend in Germany, ship me the things that are heavy and he wants to move over the next 6 weeks, come here for 2 weeks, then go to Ireland for 2-3 weeks to be with his dad (he is very ill). He will then go back to Germany, stay with his friend, work part time (he manages a bar, so he will quit but can go back and work at the bar part time...very lucky), wait for the appointment, medical, etc, and hope to have that all done by November. He has a wedding in Ireland in November, so assuming everything is done (FINGERS CROSSED) he will pack up everything, head to Ireland, I will meet him there, and then we would travel back to the USA together mid-November.

Well, this is the PLAN. Who knows if it will work!! He's starting to think about what he will sell and what he will ship. It's so hard to plan without any actual dates. Just putting all of this out into the world because we've only talked about it together. No one else really knows any of these details. It's all a lot to keep in your head, if that makes sense!

Hey guys,

when I and my fiancée applied for our k1, I was in Australia and now I’m in Tanzania, we had put my Australian address then as we thought something might come up in the mail while I’m still there (I’m the beneficiary) but I’m in Tanzania now and also I had put

                     Consular Processing Information
Your beneficiary will apply for a visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate at:                 TANZANIA

Do ya’ll think I should go to their website and chnange my address? Or too early anyway ? Or wouldn’t matter as they might just send an email? Or perhaps my fiancée in the states will receive everything?

Thanks a lot. 🙂

We have a very similar situation my fiancé is a citizen of Haiti but has been in Dominican Republic and he wants to go to Haiti where his interview will be the first week of August but I’m scared if they send something it will cause a problem but I know others who got everything through email I have a screen shot of the instructions

It may be different in your country but try and see if somebody started a forum specific to your country because the one I fallow is specific to Haiti and all the friends I made already have their fiancé home . But I do want to know I’m going to ask on that forum and let you know

You should definitely change your address at USCIS stage if you haven't yet gotten your noa2

Because once it gets to NVC you might not have enough time.

It doesn't matter what embassy you specified in your petition, NVC will generate an ID and forward the case to your current address.

Speaking from personal experience

Your plan looks to be well organized and very executable. If things go array just remember you have 5-6 months to get to the US before the visa expires. Good luck.

Hi to All! I was a silent reader for the last 5 month (NOA-1 02/16/2018 old web site, 02/20/2018 new web site). I haven't checked the new web site for the last week, but I did that today and saw that "we received your case" is written twice in our case history. Do you think it's a bag of the web site or everyone see the same and it means nothing? :huh:5b4b98d889bfb_ScreenShot2018-07-15at21_47_13.thumb.png.cf445963e0d861178010a43cce2a60f7.png

I've moved back in with my parents until I make the big move to New York, until then I'm gonna save hard and hope time passes quickly!

Ideally I'm gonna try and go light when I move (pretty much just my clothes and a few other personal effects) but we'll see how that goes cos I know when it comes to moving I'll get all sentimental and want to take everything with me :D

Curious--will you change your address with USCIS now that your house has sold or forward your mail? My fiance is trying to do the same thing but I'm worried a change of address will make things more complicated!

I was freaking out about this cos I was worried I was gonna miss important mail relating to the visa application, I actually started a new topic on here to ask how i update my address (as the beneficiary) and the response I got was that the petitioner can update their address with USCIC if it changes, but if the beneficiary has an address change all you can do is try and update that at NVC stage - but apparently this a bit hit and miss - but I got assured even if the beneficiary misses any mail after NOA2 you will be able to find out what you need to do next (what documents are needed for the medical, etc etc) online anyways so it's not too much of an issue - and then when it comes to getting the actual visa i believe you can instruct it to be delivered at a certain address. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody but that's what my understanding of it is after querying it on here :)

NOA1: February 13th

NOA2: September 4th

NVC case # assigned: September 21st

Medical @ Knightsbridge: December 5th

Interview: December 17th

Hi! I checked mine last night as well and i had the same thing. I have no idea why it appeared twice.

Maybe it’s a sign that they have already started their security checks and we will receive approvals soon 🙏🏻

I should be more realistic and realize that it’s just a web site bag 😊
