Hello fellow February filers

I've been lurking in this forum for a while now and it's always good to know there's a group of people going through the same emotions that I am about the long wait, the anticipation, etc.

I had one question, I'm not sure if anyone here has the answer or not: When I initially filed, I listed both my current mailing address and address where my fiancee will live when he gets to the USA as my parents' house since I was living with them at the time. About 2 weeks ago I moved out and leased my own house about an hour away. Is it necessary to update USCIS in some way about my new address? My fiancee would obviously be coming to live with me at my new address rather than my parents' house but I don't mind if any mail from USCIS goes to my parents since they live relatively close. I'm sure it would be the best practice and more honest to update my current address in some way. Does anyone know how I can do this? Will it slow down the processing time for our petition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone posted this link in the December filers thread. I find it quite interesting! Enjoy!

Since you live so close to your parents, I would say why mess with do when do will do. Just leave it for now as it does not effect anything currently. When you submit the AOS you can enter the new address with that paperwork.

Where do you go on uscis to find the scans and scan summary?

Scans are not done by USCIS. Some members are taking it upon themselves to do scans and also some are using the phone app. I have no idea which is the best or which will do what you are seeking.

Main important things are :

-Police Clearance Certificate

-Marriage Clearance Certificate/Document stating the foreign fiancé is free to marry

-Birth Certificate

-Valid passport

-Evidence of a bona fide relationship such as pictures, flight and accommodation records, phone call and chat records , etc

- and what else am I missing?  Anyone

Else can add on this, but these listed here are important basics. 😊
