Don’t see many (if any) posts or updates about approvals in the December 2017 forum. Any idea how USCIS is progressing and when they are likely to start on January 2018 approvals? Would be great if they kick off with February 2018 toward the end of July / early August 2018.

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is posting on here and in other forums. Having a place to read information and hearing from others who are going through, or have already been through the process is really helping me keep sane lol

Based on the current timeline do you guys think it's wise to go to see my fiancé in October?

He is coming to the UK to visit me on Saturday, but then he can't come back again till at least December due to work obligations. I'd like to go see him in October but I don't want to miss anything important while I'm there.

I figure that I'll be able to organise most things from a computer if I need to...other than the medical and obviously interview. I'm only thinking of going for like 10 days though so I should be fine right?

You're welcome.

October visit would be rough tbh. By then u should be doing medical and possibly interview. My fiancé is visiting end of Aug till mid of Sept. Hoping we may get noa2 while she's here. But, not counting on that either.

Thers re a good chance u could be in the USA by December. Me personally wouldn't plan a vaca for October.

Hi everyone, quick question. I am trying to decide if I can plan a visit.

My fiancee cannot use his ESTA - he is 21 and owns no property so he doesn't really have any strong ties to his country other than his job.

He could apply for a visitors / tourist visa but I am scared he will get denied entry ( and we will have wasted money ).

Before we filed K1 he tried to visit me, he told them he was coming to visit his girlfriend, and they revoked his ESTA and sent him back.

I am assuming we will get our NOA2 in August - if we do everything as correct and fast as humanly possible when do you think he will be able to arrive in America? If it will take until December I would really want to plan some kind of visit as we have not seen each other since January...

But if he could arrive in lets say October - it doesn't seem worth the gamble of him applying for the Visa when we can just hold out a little longer.

Plus if he comes on a tourist visa and tells them we have filed a K1 and we have no plans to illegally marry do you think they would let him even visit?

Thank you.

Regardless if he visits or not he needs a visa tats good for at least 6 months after he arrives in USA. All depends on ur case and uscis on how fast things go. It's not out of the question that some will have POE in Oct. most will be later then that.

I read that some December 2017 filers are hoping for a November POE. It all depends on the embassy and how fast things can move. Like @BJ & Christine said, from everything I've read in different forums, I have a feeling most of us will have POE's probably after October, but no one can say anything for sure. Also, about your fiancé, I'm 25 and just came out of graduate school, I also don't own any property, or have strong ties to link back home apart from my small retail job that I'm keeping till POE. I'm planning a visit early August for 3 weeks... I've been keeping up with this forum in which people detail about their visits to the USA whilst undergoing the K1 process:

I'm going to be showing my work contract and return ticket, that's all I have. I came in and out in December 2017 with no problems. Reading your situation with what happened worries me a bit for my next visit.

Anyway, I think POE late October could happen for you. Completely depends.

When I have called they are always very kind and answer any and all my questions to the best of their ability. (I'm the petitioner)

Yes they are very nice and usually will help in anyway they can. I got to leave a voicemail with they worker assigned to my file. There site isn’t always updated right away so I can then every two weeks.

👆👆👆👆

that’s what I got as replies, so I don’t think they are as bad. Lol
