So when people keep on posting stuff feels like we are getting close.  you guys start showing lil enthusiasm in this forum it would be of huge help. Thank you

The wait is slow!

I am trying to stay positive and keep busy though and make the most of my time here.

i have a question - how open have you been with friends / family / work about the visa process? I feel Like I wish I’d not told as many people as I get asked every single

day if I’ve heard anything. It’s really starting grate on me. The other #2 most irritating question is when are you seeing him again. I’m trying to make it through the day, stop reminding me about the distance! My family are the ones that ask the least questions, but I know itsit’s because they are sad about it... :(

Sorry rant over :)

For the most part everyone I know has a idea. I just tell them hopefully end of this year or early next. Leave it simple.

My finace will b visiting for 2 weeks end of Aug into sept. No I’m not worried will get approved during that time. Simple fact takes about 14 days to get nvm number then a month after that for medical and 2+ weeks after that for interview. Add it all up u have a month at bare minimal before can think about moving. That with no rfe.

it’s been a struggle for me too. I just remind myself that if we can get through this it will make out happy ever after that much better.

as far as who knows, my close inner circle knows, because we didn’t want to deal with the questions either. But they still ask even though you tell them, it’s going to be a while. The quest I hate most is when will you get to see each other again.  It’s not like he’s just across the boarder, it’s an expense to travel for an extended time, it’s other wise not worth it to go just for a couple of days. Hang in there, keep your chin up.

I joined the forum for it to be a support for me as I don’t know anyone else who has gone through something like this. So it’s hard to talk to someone about how you are feeling when they don’t know what it’s like. All things are easier said than done, a person just doesn’t know until they go through it.

Im here to support, just want support in return:-)

The road that you are traveling will test your love for each other. There is no doubt about it. Yes, others have no idea what it takes to venture down this "highway". It's such a emotional roller coaster with it's ups and sudden downs and not with out its twists and turns.

Our courtship was three plus years and I look back on how we proceeded and I have no regrets. I met a wonderful women and as the days ticked off we talked for hours at a time. It was a courtship like no other that I ever had. But knowing that I knew her better than I have ever known someone gave me every reason to keep pointing my boat into the wind and that nothing was going to stop us from being together.

This is the time in your relationship you need to be the strongest for each other. Just believe that you will get through this and you will. Smooth sailing and gentle winds are ahead for you guys. Don't ever give up.

I completely understand, I'm the same. Our time difference is not as wide as yours, but I've had a lot of late nights just to talk to him so I feel you. Yes! I think we will all start to feel a little better once they start touching the January cases. Sending you hugs and support, we can get through it together. :)

Yep, I'm the same. Trying to keep busy and spending time with my parents as much as I can. My parents are aware that we've filed a visa but they do not ask as much as friends do as I don't think they've accepted that I could possibly be leaving this year, like you said, I think mine are also sad about it. I do understand where you're coming from about wishing you hadn't told as many people. I do have friends that ask but I just give them a short answer that hasn't changed from 3 months ago. I just say 'probably won't hear back till August/September or so' and leave it at that. Some days I definitely do not want to be asked about it, though!

I agree completely! I get bugged by coworkers all the time and it gets really frustrating. I also feel like they doubt we are doing everything correctly... They say things like "Are you sure it is suppose to take this long?" or "I don't think it is suppose to be this hard - I think you guys are doing it wrong." Which obviously we are not and obviously we have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this process so it gets very frustrating.

But for me I am just trying to get through June right now! I feel that the once we get half way through of July things will pick up and start feeling closer. June is just dragging and work feels so long - wine helps and my fiancee and I play a lot of online games together. Skype lets you share your desktop screen and sound so we will watch youtube videos and shows together. Anything to pass the time. ~

Good luck to everyone!

When we filed our K1 we didn't tell anyone aside from our close family and friends, but after getting "officially" engaged, i.e. I was given an engagement ring, it became more common knowledge; my co-workers annoy me the most with constant questons every day demanding to know when I'm moving - if i'm having a down day I just feel like screaming I DON'T KNOW!!! It can get really annoying. <_<

Hi everyone. Our NOA1 date is February 1st 😊 so far looking back it has gone quite quick but could still do with speeding up a bit! I want to be there so bad. Feels like the processing has slowed down somewhat so keeping everything crossed it speeds up and we are seeing February applications being processed as soon as possible.

It has been so nice reading your responses!

I know that no one understands the process quite like the people on this forum :)

I'm the UK Beneficiary, and filed for my ACRO police certificate today. I must say though, not sure my passport photo is going to be ok haha - I have white blonde hair which isn't a great contrast against the white background! Not too worried about it, just made me laugh.

Think I'm going to spend the rest of the day writing out a step by step process of what exactly we need to do next when we get NOA2, just so its all clear in my brain!

I  applied for my police certificate earlier this week too, feels good to have something else working towards it. I have a folder with what I think I need once we get the NOA2 so hopefully it'll all fall in to place.

My fiancé is waiting to do arco. With it only being valid for 6 months and it only takes 2 weeks to receive it. She's going to get it end of next month. Just to be sure we don't have to apply for another one.
