Trump passed laws to where more  thorough back checks needed to be preformed on people imigrateding and sponsoring. Reason being, a lot of beneficiaries were coming here, getting married, waiting 2 yrs and divorcing once they got there 10 yr green card. And, there been a few multi time petitioners bring finance over and putting the into sex trade or solve type work.

Its done to make sure everything is legit on both sides. I agree with the stricter background checks. Sucks it adds a lot of time but it keeps the riffraff out of American. Or at least a better chance of them not getting in...

He can issue policy directives which fit within the confines of the current law, but he doesn't make law. That's the legislature's job. Everything the president does must fit within the confines of the laws which grant him those powers. When something he does may be in violation of those laws, then the courts will make that determination, often times imposing an injunction on whatever action is being taken that may be questionable. When people blame the president for doing this or that thing which they don't agree with, they fail to realize that is was actually some act of congress, voted on by someone they actually support and maybe even signed into a law by a president that they did like, that granted him the ability to do it. I'm not saying you're doing this, but blaming the president is always the easiest and least effort path that the average person takes to make themselves feel better rather than following the legislative trail back to the originators of the policy. :D I really love history, politics and law, so watching the constant partisan bickering is hilarious when you actually know the roots of the policies people are fighting over, which many times come from their own party.

I try to not get into political battles. It’s pointless cus neither one is right and neither one will stop back. I have my views and tend to keep them to myself for the most part. Ever so often they leak out tho.🙈

How true. Sometimes I catch myself thinking I already answered that question, why haven't they gone back a page or two and read my reply then I think to myself maybe I didn't in this thread. So, tongue in cheek, I answer it one more time. Thank G that I have OneNote where I cut and paste information that I gather so I need to answer I just cut and past. Saves me time and I don't spend time typing it over and over and over. Anywhooo. Thanks for listening and also for catching that mistake. I am constantly learning so I depend on others to share their knowledge.

Thank you.

What get's my dander up is those who are going through the same process and they give out information that is down right wrong. There is a slew of case numbers that were issued today and those same people are running around trying to get prepared for their interview. And I know they have been here and asked questions and I have given them the information to read. But, they are here tonight asking questions (what do I do, how many copies, no you need x copies, do I need to print and send 141 pages of my 1040 etc.) and others are answering with the wrong answer. Not even referring them to the P3 from their Embassy. I am old sea dog, so I don't always sugar coat my answers and I know that upsets some ppl. By getting to the point and answering someone's question ppl believe that I am insensitive.  So I am butting out and they can sink or swim. Thanks for your ear. I hope you have smooth sailing and calm sees. If you ever need help, just PM and I'll try and help.

Typically when they do not have their case number/approval they are here enhancing the pages with their opinions. When they have the number they are either here asking "what do I do now" or they have read enough that they know just exactly what they are going to do. The rest …..
