noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

I talked to my attorney yesterday and she said she just got an noa2 from a mid December submission. Moving right along. Yay!

Yep! I think the latest non-expedited case has been Dec 18. Was hoping they'd hit January next week, but it looks like it still might be closer to 2 weeks.

The case inquiry date is always quite a bit behind where they are actually working. The other months' threads that track the cases from those months and have people posting daily scans give a better idea where they actually sit.

Correct, three  12/18 cases got approved on Friday!

January I think they will do a tiny amount the first week in July, and then start slowly ramping up in the week or two after that as they try finish up December, though I do think they need to speed up. December still has 2643 untouched cases and only 497 that are either approved or in an RFE status.

November got started on May 8th, though they did a small amount the week before that, and a weird out of the blue batch about a month ahead of that.

December got started on the June 8th, though the did a small amount the week before also.

Trump passed laws to where more  thorough back checks needed to be preformed on people imigrateding and sponsoring. Reason being, a lot of beneficiaries were coming here, getting married, waiting 2 yrs and divorcing once they got there 10 yr green card. And, there been a few multi time petitioners bring finance over and putting the into sex trade or solve type work.

Its done to make sure everything is legit on both sides. I agree with the stricter background checks. Sucks it adds a lot of time but it keeps the riffraff out of American. Or at least a better chance of them not getting in...

If the visa petition has not yet been approved, it's relatively easy to cancel it. All you need to do is send a letter to USCIS, at whichever office is currently handling the petition, informing it of your decision. Enclose a copy of the receipt notice (NOA1), if you received one from USCIS. That will help it trace your file.

Be sure to keep copies of everything you have sent and received for your own records. You may need them the future if you decide to petition again.

Thats interesting thanks for sharing. Are these extra checks anything we would notice or just done behind the scenes their end? WHEn do you think they might start touching our applications? SOmetimes I feel Like they may jus randomly reject it becaus it’s been so long it’s almost like you can’t believe it’ll be silent and then suddenly just get a noa2!

Are these extra checks anything we would notice or just done behind the scenes their end? Everything is done in the background. They are checked against multiple agency's.

When do you think they might start touching our applications? No one can say for sure but they are now in the middle of January so Feb is coming up in I'd say about 2 weeks and that is a rough guess.

Sometimes I feel Like they may jus randomly reject it because it’s been so long it’s almost like you can’t believe it’ll be silent and then suddenly just get a noa2! An agent at USCIS is assigned your case once it has arrived. When their workload permits they will initiate the necessary background checks. Once they are returned and she is at a point where she can start processing your case then she'll (could be a Male but I use she here in this example) review your paperwork and the background checks to see if everything is matching and there are no RED flags that would require additional scrutiny or and RFE for additional information or action by you. Once everything is checked and she is satisfied that you are deserving of a visa, she then issues the NOA2 and the case gets sent off to NVC for your case number. You won't be forgotten.

Uscis workers have to go by what the current law is. Only thing we will see on our end is longer wait times. Nothing we can do tbh. Our future is in their hands ATM.

February fliers probably won't her anything for another 6 weeks. And when it does finally start it will be low amount of cases. Maybe 10 to 20 per day. 2 weeks after that things should start to ramp up for us.

Only reason son they will reject cases is due to filers not complete if forms correctly. If they find something that the beneficiary or petitioner have hides from them. They will denie it. Back in June a flier was denied due to not disclosing a arrest that was expunged from their recorded. Sadly it's still there as the case was not dismissed. They had to go and do a cr1 instead. Since wait times r the same now as k1.

it sucks that they have a web page to notify us of changes or give updates and sometimes it does not show up and BAM u have a paper in the mail. Being surprised is better then not hearing anything at all.

All we can do is be patient and not complain that it's taking so long for our cases to be approved. It will happen sooner or later. Rfe are only a small hurdle to jump. Hopefully there are minimal for our month and everyone can get approved and move on to the next step...
