Have they asked for one as an RFE.. that’s the usual step when a document is incorrect or missing..

A birth certificate from the beneficiary wasn’t required so I did not include it which is why I think at the interview stage it would be denied

I wouldn't worry too much. If anything you'll get an RFE. Reasons for denial are mostly due to ineligibility. I had my interview yesterday and I overheard at least three people with documents missing and they were just asked to email whatever was missing.

We hired an attorney to assist us, it wasn't horribly expensive but its nice to have them.  I joined this site just to see how its going for everyone and what to expect, informational purposes really.

Its great to see everyone sharing so much. #loveislove

I hired a lawyer and he screwed my whole  petition up.

Lucky for me this forum was here and I believe have it straighten out before I got a instant denial.. time will tell tho.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for sharing your inputs on the K1 Fiance. I would like to request you to assist me on one point as listed below.

I am the beneficiary from India, Feb 5th Filer expecting NOA2 in August. I am working in IT company right now and was thinking to leave my job next month so that I can prepare for GRE which will help me out in California to pursue my MBA in Cal Poly after marriage over there plus I want to invest into my interest in my music ( I am instrument player) plus want to spend the remaining time with my Mom Dad. Now my question is, is it fine while my interview for Fiance visa that I have left my job and preparing for the exam plus working on my music skills and having no financial support on my behalf and living with parents. Do they have any issue if the beneficiary is not working and all. I know my question can sound funny but want to clear this query.

Looking forward to your inputs.

You just have to think about the situation a little bit. You're leaving your country to get married in another. Does it matter that you don't have a job? You won't have one when you arrive here. In a lot of countries, people don't earn in one month what some of us in the States may earn in a day or hour even. They don't require you to come here with any amount of money. I think your employment status is a moot point and they only ask about it in the petition for reasons of corroborating your identity, if necessary. :)

Hey thanks for your message. I was just asking as during interview they always get into details to check the relationship should be genuine. Shouldn't look like a fraud.

Things should be good! They will be more interested in what you know about your fiance than information you will provide about yourself in order to establish that you do know each other and have a legitimate relationship. :D Your petition is the cheat sheet as they will only know details about your fiance provided in the documents sent to them. As long as your answers match the information provided there, or have a good explanation, things should go well! A good example from my specific case is they could ask my fiancee who I work for. I've changed jobs since I filed, but work in the same industry. She could tell them who I work for currently, what industry I am in and tell them that I have changed jobs since filing due to a better job offer.

Once ur approved for ur NOA1 it’s safe to say it will take about 2 months before interview. I’d just work until u have ur approval in hand. Then take the time off to spend with family and do ur medical, and interview.

Personal thought only.

The police certificate does not need to be translated, unless it has  any entries - then yes.

Since you mentioned that his birth certificate is from Ireland: in case he has lived there for more than 6 months after the age of 16 he will need a police certificate from Ireland as well.

Where does he live in Germany? If it is somewhere around the Frankfurt area, the panel physicians there offer walk-ins three days a week, no appointment needed.

No entries thankfully :) He moved to Germany at 17. Seems insane that he would need it for a year but coincidentally he’s in Ireland now for a few weeks caring for his ailing father so he will go inquire. He’s in Nuremberg so not far from Frankfurt by train. Walk in is ideal!! How did you get the vaccines? Did you need to get everything?

The K1 Visa process has absolutely NOTHING to do with the beneficiary
They only care about petitioner's income
