Stop thinking about it. The more u think about it, the more time crawls, I promise you that.

I went 14 months, to the day, without seeing my fiance (based on work schedule and other shenanigans). Worst thing ever. But they're here now and I tell you- I don't remember a day of those 14 months
It's gonna happen for you too.

Get busy. Do things you love. If you're the beneficiary, spend time with family and friends as these might be a while before u see them again.

4-6 months in the grand scheme of life isn't anything. remember that
Sending y'all some strength

Also, P.S.
Please update your timeline. It makes everything a lot easier for everybody :D

Thanks for sharing your experience and all the positivity.. You are right.. Big picture is when i'll be with him i wont even remember this wait and pain. I might laugh how crazily worried and sad i was.. :P

When you come in VJ
At the top right, under your name, there's a drop down arrow

Click "My Timeline"

The there's a green button for "Edit/Add my Entry"

Click "Edit Timeline"  and add your information thus far

Then, you may:

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info".

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the support! I came across this forum and was so excited--it's great to have the encouragement. Our case was received Feb. 1st and not a word since then. So much waiting and so much hope for the future! If he can come in November, we'd be thrilled.

Sending good vibes and prayers to you all.

Question: Traveling for the beneficiary isn't a problem during this process, yes?

No
Follow the regular country procedures for that.
Some countries are harder, some are easier to get Visas, etc.

But travelling during the process does not impact your case.

Hi Guys!

Sorry for taking a while, I am trying to closeup my accounts and taxes as I will be leaving Japan in a week (can't believe finally!!!)

I need scanners to come up because I accidentally deleted most of my messages!! Some could have been from volunteers from February to April.

Please PM me if you have been around for a while and understand what these are and how things work. Please know that even though it starts as a fun thing, it is highly time consuming and stressful.

Thank you so much for doing this! Seeing these numbers helps to put reality to the feeling of things just sitting in a government abyss somewhere. Glad your process is almost through!

As the new system came out, old system does not really update much. I estimated by comparing USCIS official reports for quarter 1 that we saw 30% of approvals as silent, and recently with the implementation of the new system (new website) it looks like this number is decreasing.

Scans (and case tracker app) are using the old site for reference, therefore the number of cases in the places that we can see, can no longer be considered for a good reference point.

However, the dates are more important than the number of cases we see that has movement in order to guesstimate how far they go, and when the next month can start.

Please use these two websites to check your personal cases:

Old website, same info as apps: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

New website need to log in: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

There are also cases that are totally silent and never get any update, and/or gets updated really late; it is advised to register for USPS informed delivery if your area is covered.

USPS INFORMED DELIVERY https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

Monthly Status:

Explanation:

Excluded: Rejected and withdrawn cases (I just put here for reference - does not matter to you as long as you have your wac number and noa1 receipt)

Virgin: Never been touched (case status never changed from "case was received")

Touched : Any update (Such as RFE, name update, birthdate update etc..)

Approved: (IF YOU ARE SEEING AN APPROVAL ON A MONTH THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO START YET, IT IS HIGHLY LIKELY AN EXPEDITE. I did check... it is... if you want to dream please do so but I just don't want to see anyone get disappointed.)

I am putting from June 2017, because there are still members waiting. However Those Virgin numbers are lower that they seem.

I noticed that you said you were going to visit your fiance in the US. Are you worried at all that they may not let you through immigration? What are you planning to take with you for the immigration part? I'm only asking because I would really like to go visit my fiancé next time so that he doesn't have to keep being the one to come out, bit I'm just worried about being hassled at immigration.

Part of me is a little worried, only because I hold a B1/B2 visa and they always ask why don’t you just have an ESTA and years ago I was taken into secondary for questioning BUT I also think that the 3 times I visited last year I didn’t have any issues (although this was before we’d filed for the K1)

I’m going to take with me a copy of our NOA1, and a copy of the 129F packet that we prepared and sent off as well as the additional proof of a relationship that we’ve added since filing.

I fly out July 20th so I’ll be sure to keep you all posted how it goes at POE.

All u need to prove is that ur returning back to ur home country. Return ticket, return to work date. All u need ever.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

BJ is right here. CBP looks at what visa you are entering on and applies their judgement to that visa. With a B visa, they just want to see that you intend and have the means to return home, just like the interview for the B visa. They won't care what evidence you've submitted for a visa you don't have yet. They probably wonder why you don't have an ESTA because it's an easier route for Australian citizens to enter the US since Australia is a visa waiver country.

Thanks for that! I’ll make sure I have my return ticket and my return to work info. ☺️

Hi all,

Just read several pages of posts. Feels good in a way to know I'm not the only one losing my mind over this process! And I agree we probably would have just gotten married if we had known the timeline would be the same, but we did not want to get married then. It just wasn't right. Now I would be ready but alas it's too late. So we wait... and to make it more complicated, my fiance's father has become very ill. And that's all up in the air. He is going to stay with him for 3 weeks and I will fly over for a week as well. But if he gets approved and moves here, and then his father passes...well he will have to leave. And we will need to start over. I am trying hard not to think of that. But I guess that's just life right?

Question--once you get the NOA2, then what is the estimated timeline until they can realistically come, assuming you are on the ball and there are no issues? Is it another three months? As always, trying to plan (even though I recognize that is IMPOSSIBLE).
