Pure hell!!! I miss him sooooooooooo much and finances are not really allowing for another visit before he comes home which was not the plan initially. I'm praying something changes because this wait is so very painful and I think I miss him more every day even though we speak daily several times a day.

I agree.. It's though. Bit the bright side? It's already bees three months, so it's half way to NOA 2!! Just think, in a few months, we're all going to be grinning from ear to ear! At least that's what I tell myself, to make it easier :)

Seems like they're slowing down a little bit... they're still half way done with the Nov cases, and my NOA2 timeline got pushed back from mid Aug to late Aug.

Mine was moved from Late August to early to mid September!!!  #pissed

Yes I have definitely tried the reverse psychology and said oh wow it's been three months already!! But in reality LOL...I keep kicking myself because I wanted to file back in August but he was in the middle of relocating to the UK then and then we had the bright idea to have him file for B2 so he could spend Christmas and my birthday home with me which was denied so I went there and then filed when I returned. I am still wishing we had filed much sooner but....such is life.

Yes, though every country is a bit different at the embassy stage, they all require a police record regardless of criminal history from every country in which the beneficiary has lived. Some people just like to work ahead or are from countries that may take a long time to obtain the documentation needed from their governments. In most cases, the embassies accept a police record up to 6 months old, others allow up to 12 months.

I'm a bit nervous because my honey is currently in the UK and has overstayed his visit while waiting for this process to get going. This is making it a bit tricky for him to get a police record in the UK, but he is getting one from his home country. Do they count his current location as a place where he "lived" if he is only a "visitor"? Will we be alright if he only provides the police report from his home country? We are considering changing embassies at the NVC stage, but I believe that takes another $600 and will definitely prolong our processing which we can't afford. I really don't know what to do....risk it and have him continue as planned where he is currently or switching to the embassy in his home country and have him return there once we get an interview date....

Hey guys, I was doing a mini scan of Feb 28 cases ( it's my NOA1 date) and I found a case that has been approved on May 24. I'm pretty sure it's expedite, but it was crazy to find an approval so close to my WAC number!

😱😱😱😱

Received a hard copy in the mail 10/30/2018

GUYS IT'S ALMOST JUNE SDLFKJSDFKJSDF

Also - Since February, how often have you seen your fiancé?

I went to see him a week after i was done university, april 17th - may 15th. We had such a great time, I miss being with him everyday. But he is flying in on tuesday for a week (short visit because of his work which really sucks) because i graduate on friday and he wanted to be here with me for it. I’m so excited to see him, even if i just saw him 3 weeks ago. it’s so shitty being away from your best friend.

but after he leaves we we have nothing planned because everything is up in the air. I’m going to have to spend a ton of money to get to and do my interview - if and when it’s accepted. Apparently canada has some fairly long interview wait times so I don’t know lol. if we don’t get our noa2 by last week of august i will probably go see him early september if not earlier. just sucks with everything being so unknown :(

I visited him a month ago, and it was supposed to be the last trip before me moving there...but if we'll have to wait much longer, I'll probably go to see him again.

I feel so sorry for couples who don't see each other for one or two or more years...makes me feel  lucky. You are very strong! And yes, I like to think that we are in the middle of the process already too! Soon enough, so let's hang in there!

I left the US in March after visiting my fiance and in 12 days she comes to Australia to spend three months here living with me before she goes back to college.

All I can say is thank god she's almost here. I miss her every day and Facetime and texting just sometimes isn't enough.

Hopefully when she leaves Australia at the end of our trip we have our NOA2. The trends seem to suggest that, but with the new website and all the silent NOA's it's too hard to know. I understand that the new system has been messing up the estimates and they aren't as bad as they seem, but jeez, it's hard not to get down hey!

YAY! Another Aussie!

Thats so awesome that your fiancé can come out here while on her school break!

I last saw my fiancé in January when he was out here (and proposed) but I’m heading over next month for a vacation (probably the last visit until the move) but I’m super excited!

It looks like we only filed slightly before you guys so I’ll be sure to let know how the process goes when we receive our NOA2. :)

That’s great news that you’re heading back, and it’s crazy to think that the next time after that you go will be the permanent move - So exciting!

I’m just glad this time it isn’t me doing the long haul flight!

That would be fantastic mate, any heads up you can give would be greatly appreciated. And if you have any questions feel free to sing out, if I don’t know I’m sure we can research together and find the answers!

Have you organised anything yet like the Police Certificate?

I’ve called them and was transferred to a tier II person, all she did was corrected my zip since that was incorrect. She opened a case and provided me with a USCIS referral ID number. Now I’m wondering what their next step is going to be. Should I call again?? Im not having a good feeling at all about the situation.

Am confused
Did they acknowledge that you did NOT send a withdrawal notice?
IS your case back in the stack of cases to be adjudicated?

If your fiance has been in UK for more than 6 months, it doesn't matter if he's a visitor, he needs a police report
The instructions say "Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16"

Changing embassies has proven to be quite difficult lately for people, but not impossible especially since you are trying to switch to the embassy for fiance is from originally.
Just be ready to wait additional time

How are ya’ll finding the move from Australia to the US? I mean ofcourse we’d do anything to be with our partners. I’m in Australia too but a Tanzanian citizen, been in WA for about 5 years now. Absolutely love it here and he did too when he came for a visit, but I don’t have my family here and his got all his family in US. So that’s why I gotta move. However I am looking forward to the move and he keeps telling me that I’d like it there.

Congratulations on graduating!

I feel you! My fiance has been flying to see me once a month, but for only 3 days at a time. It's tough since we're both working and we can't take time off. You only have a few more months apart, so enjoy your time with family/friends! I'm hopeful things will pick up on their end.

I'm from Vancouver, so I'll be flying to Montreal for the interview... kind of annoying bahaha. Where are you from?

Thank you!

Yeah that’s not fun either but at least you get to see him relatively often!

I’m from Saskatchewan lol it’s very annoying! Especially with the physical and stuff. There’s no certified doctor here for me to get it done so I have to get it done there before my interview!
