Good to hear that you entered US without any problems! My fiance is in Japan to visit me but is leaving tomorrow :( I'd love to visit him in US but we're not sure if we should take the risk... we'll keep discussing.

I probably should try then. I've been looking at lots of blogs written by Japanese and they are all like "it's not advised so you shouldn't go".. I'll see him again in Japan in August but you know, long distance sucks and even four months of wait is literally hell for me lol.

If you have work that can help showing ties.

ties are really important and being honest at the poe. I never had a problem and I can’t obviously guarantee it (and I was soooo scared first time too.. but he was in the hospital and I didn’t even think twice just jumped to the next plane) I have a work here so all they asked me if I work, and how long I will stay. Have your return ticket and ties to your country with you.

Also remember Even if you can’t go by chance either way it won’t affect your petition :)

good luck on the decision!

Hi everybody.

Ive just been thinking, i was on a F1 student visa i know that to get a driving license i had to show my I-20 so that they could put on a End date on the  drivers license so it expired the same time my stay did. How do i go about getting a license once i enter on my K1 visa? I cant imagine i would have to wait till I've applied for my green card, right?

Don’t know if that helps

Hello i’d just like to ask because im new here and im really confused with all the terms and stuff. I hope someone can help me with this i’d really appreciate it.

So my bf is from michigan. My first question is,

1. does he have to mail the i-129f packet all the way to dallas or he can drop it off at USCIS detroit office?

2. If he mails it, does he have to include the actual check (535$) inside the packet, or can he pay thru the bank?

3. When should we pay the 535$?

Thank you so much.

Welcome fellow michigander.

Yes he has to mail to Texas service center. It then gets sent to California service center.

Send payment with packet. If no payment is sent the case will be denied right then and there.

Best way is to send it certified mail so u get a notice of when it's recieved.
