noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

They're problem running a script of some type that logs the mined information. I've been following the October filer thread and will move to November once USCIS starts on that month and continue until the finally get to us. Unfortunately there's not much for us to do at this point in the game but sit and wait. My fiancee has gone ahead and got her vaccination records and ordered her police record since it's good for a year (differs by country).

Mine has gotten extra copies of birth cert, contacted GP to get records and see about vaccinations, waiting a few months for police record, has filled out and saved the 160 form.

Myself have gotten tax transcripts and will get letter from employer in a few months.

I feel the most important things are financial that you won’t become a public charge, proof your free to marry ,proof your not any threat via police records, proof of your intent to marry like wedding date plans and so on but I sent what I had and he also has a lot it’s better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it

Hi all,

I used a Lawyer to file our K1 paperwork just because my fiancé is from Venezuela and I know they are terrible with paperwork and everything. SO I asked the lawyer today if it would effect our case if he applied for a B1 visitor visa to come spend some time with me and my family this summer to attend a few family events, weddings and important birthdays, and she said he would probably be denied. Does anyone have experience with this? I feel like that is a little crazy, but then again it is the government. He did get denied for a B1 visa last Sept because he did not own land in Venezuela. I would forward him the invitations the are addressed to both of us as proof of the events.  As of now we have been meeting in Aruba, and will travel to Cuba next month to spend some time together.  Would really love to have him here, even just for a little.

Hi!

...only bad lawyers are terrible with paperwork, not they!

We used a Lawyer during filing and we got our NOA2 (176 days) with no RFE.

Don't crucify all Lawyers, because there are Badass/Well-informed Ones! 👌

About B1 visa! For a CO to grant one a B1 visitor visa; the Applicant must show Strong Ties (landed property-Piece of Land) in his/her home country. Most times, invitations from the US Contact don't cut it, that is they are unnecessary.

Did you call them and find out if they can send it as a supplement?

Using a lawyer for this is like using a CPA for taxes. It can be helpful, especially with a much more complex case, but not totally necessary. They're supposed to be the experts and on top of things, but I've learned through my years that most lawyers aren't like they are on TV, not always the most intelligent and articulate folks out there and they do make mistakes like everyone else. :D

I did call, email, and went there. Was told it be nearly impossible for it to catch up with original file.

Hi VJ fam!

Hope you’re all doing well!

These recent posts in the thread have inspired me to start preparing for my NOA2 by getting my police checks and vaccination records ready.

Can anyone advise what vaccinations we need to have up to date? (Apologies if this has been answered already in here)

Im from Australia so not sure if that make an any differences with vaccines.

tbh I haven’t had any in the last 5 - 10 years so I probably need everything 😂

You will only need the ones u dont hsbd already. Might need a booster for tetanus. Won't need flu shot since season is over.

Best bet is, talk to ur gp . Get ur transcript from them. Figure out which ones u dont have and take care of that. If it cost a good deal of money to get them there, you can wait and habe them done once here for free. Thru ur fiance's medical insurance.

As for police report. If wait a couple months since it is only good for 12 mo. With times for approvals being all over the place and no clear dates. It be best to wait till June then u know u have it covered. 😁

So just to clarify I don’t have to get them done before entering on the K1? My fiancé is in the US military so they’d all be covered by that once were married I’d assume? If so, I’ll just wait and get all the immunizations done in the USA and save a few hundred dollars! ☺️ Thanks again!
