I am a February filer and I just was writing because we had a lawyer handle our petition that was filed February 22nd 2018 but after it was sent by the lawyer the paralegal sent me a copy of the I29F that did not include my Divorce decree!!!!! Like how does that happen I made sure they had everything but I called to make sure my eyes were correct and low and behold she said yes they forgot to include it so once I got my noa1 and they also received it she sent a supplement with the divorce so I asked what will happen and she said that it would delay anything but I have heard nothing further I just want to say that Incase anyone has had this situation and I will update along the way to what happens with our situation but I am positive just upset this could delay if the supplement gets lost

As far as I'm aware, the petitioner isn't required to provide a divorce decree with the petition, just name(s) of previous spouse(s) and date of divorce(s). In the US, it's all a matter of public record and they have all the information they need about you and your previous spouse to look it up. The beneficiary is only required to bring that documentation to the interview as part of packet 3.

EDIT: Sorry, I was mistaken. It is #4 under the "What Evidence Must You Submit?" in the instructions for the 129F. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

Since it is explicitly required, chances are it will result in a RFE if they don't have it. It sounds, unless I understood wrong, like your attorney or a representative sent it after you filed? Hopefully that covers you.

Yes they sent it as soon as my case was filed as a supplement but I was just mad because I heard sometimes supplements have gotten lost and I payed a lot of money to the lawyer it was such a careless mistake but no matter what we will be Together it’s just additional stress we didn’t need especially from an accredited immigration attorney we trusted with our case

Thanks for posting this. As I didn't want the hassle of making sure I missed anything I also hired a lawyer. Apparently I should of paid more attention to things. My divorce decree was not sent with my packet. Now I'll b expecting a rfe.  Have contacted lawyer. See what they say.

When a supplement is sent in, USCIS doesn't confirm that they received it.  The document just gets added to the file.  Also, USCIS can issue a Request for Evidence for numerous reasons.  USCIS makes the final decision on that.

That was the reply I got from the lawyer If that helps if I get any further reply I will add it ...... Holy Stress that’s all I have to say but we will all be okay in the end

Appreciate it yet again... I contacted my lawyer today. They are a bunch of morons. TBH it is starting to sound like they do this ####### on purpose so they can charge more since they have to do slightly more work. With this said. I am expecting a long and drawn out process due to there lack of details.

Might as well of tossed Money into the air. FFS....
