Can anyone help me out on how you can actually speak to a live person when you call the USCIS number.

So far all I get is an option to select English, input my receipt number and then it reads me an automated version of "Your case has been received" and if we have changed our address then we need to press whatever number it is that they want.

Could someone perhaps shed some light and make me feel a little less like a dumbass 😂

Hi all... I got an online update today saying that our case was approved (yay!). I'm confused on our next steps though... who will receive the NOA2 in the mail, me (petitioner) or my fiance? What proactive steps should I be taking? Thanks!!

First, don't begin calling for 10 business days after you get your text message (NOA2). Second, you will need the Petitioner's and Beneficiaries full name and date of birth.

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

I called this morning to speak to a tier 2 officer I waited 15 minutes and then I actually got a hold of someone. The officer put me on hold while he was pulling up my case and while he was doing that the phone disconnected😭 I just tried to call back and now the wait is a lot longer and they're supposed to be giving me a call back.

Wow. I finally got ahold of the tier 2 officer. What a joke! According to him you guys are all liars and that no one with a case after January 31st has been approved and no one who has called and spoken to an officer gets any information . Everyone that has called and been told there case was in the background check stage or that were getting an rfe was making that up. That's clearly a bs when you guys post pictures of your NOA2 approvals and other things.  This officer was speaking complete bs! the same man I got disconnected with was the same man who called me back later. I'm not sure if I called again that I would even get someone different

Thank you again Greenbaum. And if it happens that the case is "Ready," does that mean that a packet is on its way to my fiance or is there another proactive measure I should be taking at that point?

Congratulations to all those again and again who got approved. I can only Imagine

that feeling. 💕. We’re on 185days today and nothing has happened yet 😢. We are thinking of trying our luck & giving the USCIS a call today or in the next few days. Miss my fiancee big time, we haven’t physically met for nearly 18 months luckily we’ve both been very strong and have been supporting eachother mentally through FT. I’m sure it’s amazing seeing your partners every so often but I’m glad we haven’t met again as I’m not a good bye person. The time has truly flown for both of us as we had been busy doing other things, but now feels like it’s been a decade and we need to come together as quicker as possible plus he is lonely too now that he has moved from his parents to his own apartment. 😔

NOA1: 02/26/2018 (old website)

Received a hard copy in the mail 10/30/2018

NOA2: 11/06/2018 😃💃💃💃
