Got through to a Tier 2 today, he said that our case is in the background check stage still. I dont know how to feel... I'm happy that someone has touched our case and its in process, but scared it'll be in background stage forever. Our NOA1 date is received Feb 5th, notice Feb 9th so its been nearly 6 months 3 weeks now. I wish there was a tracker we could watch and keep up with, like with domino's pizza 🤣

So I called uscis today, first time 😀 spoke to Tier 2 gentleman who was nice and jovial. He said they have not received my background yet, he encouraged me to call back next Monday for status. I am hopeful we will get a response soon.

Couple of questions:

1- just got my approved noa2 confirmation on the phone today, but website hasn’t updated with approved. Did anyone else have this happen and did it change later? Just making sure the person was correct in saying we have been approved lol

2- what exactly is the ds-160? I’m confused because my fiancé got his police background check from Belgium. Does he also need the ds-160?

Web site has not been updating for well since last update.

yes the benefituary needs to fill out ds-160

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Hello Feb Filers.

Just thought everybody who is not been approved that it looks like the old website is being  updated. Saw a January filer get and RFE on the Case Tracker app that was today.  Just let everyone know that it looks some updates are happening on the old website again.  Maybe somebody can confirm this and let me know if I am losing my mind😁😁

See above post

Thank u for the info. Knew u had it.😁

Thanks. I called. The woman was so nice. But she said she has no info. There Is no news on our case and in two weeks we will be outside of regular processing times and I can call back and then they will let us know in another two months if there is an issue. So basically no information at all. And because I’m a complete and total freak, I burst into tears on the telephone after she told me that and while the woman was very nice she probably was sitting there shaking her head at my insanity LOL so that’s that.  Another day and no information. Tomorrow will be day 190.

It’s ok I’m sure lots of people have cried! Normal day to her. Another tough waiting day for us. But, just stay positive and think of seeing your fiancé soon! It’s merely a matter of time. You will get your approval!

Most possibly a very silly question, but the beneficiary can call the USCIS as well yeah? Doesn't have to be the US citizen?

Anyone can call, even the representative for your case eg if you used a lawyer. They just ask for the receipt number and some other things like dates of birth and address.

Today was day 207 for me. I know I been saying I wouldn’t call. But, seeing everyone getting info was to overwhelming. Plus I sent a amended petition in which they never received.
