Well, the last two weeks were rough on our motivation.

Woke up 30 minutes ago, and saw an email saying I have  a message from USCIS. I clicked on the link which took me to their ?new? website (the one that requires each time a one time secure password  ) and saw this

Case Was Approved

Now, when I go when I go the ?old? website the case still shows only an update in February. 

 

Well, I am really happy right now. Now I have to wait for Bee to wake up and tell her the great news!

 

Also, I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone here contributing and sharing. This site has the best signal to noise ratio on the web that I have come across the internet.

Yeah, I really can't believe that the government is the one that ended up granting a birthday wish. They aren't exactly known for being generous that way! 😂

I called yesterday because I have never received any notifications via email nor text (even earlier when I put in for a request for an expedite).  Tier 1 agent had no information. I asked her if she could tell if my case has even been touched.  She said she could not (seemed a little irritated - I'm guessing she gets that question all day long).  She offered to transfer me to Tier 2 agent.  I said sure.  2 hrs later Agent Jones called me back.  Regarding the notifications, she told me to double check my settings in my profile.  Told her I've triple checked.  I then asked her if she could check the status of my application, if anyone has even touched it.  She asked to put me on a brief hold.  She came back a few minutes later and said she could put in a service request for a status update.  She created the request and gave me my request number and said I should hear something by September 6.  So this put a couple questions in my mind.  What did she find when she put me on hold? (Did she find nothing, or did she see that my case really hasn't been touched).  Second, what will this service request do for me? (Get someone to finally work it, or nothing).  I'll let you know how this all plays out, but it makes a person think.

I just checked new website.  No update.  I go into the old website and get this:

  So, why is old website still getting updated and nothing on the new website.  Again, it makes a person think.

It appears that they are still using the old website to update on status inquires, at least the assignment of them. Several have seen this the past couple of days. But it doesn't appear that any other types of updates are hitting the old website. But it's the government, so things change any time and without any notice. 🤣

Thank you for ur kinda words. I still try to keep the mood light. Nothing I can do but wait it out. 

Should be easier starting Thursday since my fiancé will be visiting for 12 days. 😍😍😍

I believe that it depends on the officer that is working in your case,  some send the update to the new site some still using the old, as well as no updates just the letter on the mail. We just have to check all sites and the mailbox, soon we all us will get approved.  Congrats to those that has been already aproved

Hi Feb filers!

 

Our application was received on Feb 12 and we got our letter of approval in the mail today! So incredibly happy right now! Hoping to be in Texas in time for my birthday which is in late October! 

 

Congratulations to all other applicants who have been approved!

I literally dont care about our application right now because I have something looking forward to :o.

 

We booked the next flight tickets yesterday. I am gonna fly on September 12 and stay until October 31. 7 full weeks with the love of my life. I am so excited! 😍

Congratulations. Now you can join us over here while you wait your case number. Here is something you should look over while you are waiting for your case number. It's from your Embassy in Thailand and it's what is needed for the interview.

Once you move to "Received" you can send your Packet 3 to the Embassy and they will schedule the interview.  The BKK interviews seem to be scheduled for 2 weeks after they receive your Packet 3.  (The embassy selects the date and time for you, but you can contact them if you need to reschedule).   You will need to complete the medical before the interview and it takes a day or 2 for the results of the medical to become available.
