Beneficiary? I think it's good to add it as a proof of meeting if the beneficiary is the one who traveled but not a regular requirement... I didn't include my passport and neither a few people that I've been following in groups.

Not everyone will have a paper passport if traveling from Mexico or Canada. They will have a passport card which obviously has no stamps on it.

Yes I agree, but is it a requirement to include a travel document (passport, etc) for the beneficiary even if it doesn't have any stamps on it? In my case, he was the one visiting so we have his passport stamps but nothing on my side, not even the copy of my passport information page. I asked about this before and everyone told me it was not required and I checked the instructions of the form... I did give my passport number and all the information on the form, but what if someone doesn't have a passport at the moment of submitting i129F? I've seen people (beneficiaries) who get their first passport after NOA2...

Must have a valid visa for 6 months at interview. This does not include the k1 visa that’s issued to u.

with u giving ur visa details they should be able to look it up by that.

I think we are talking on 2 different things... I'm making reference to the I129F package. People don't include beneficiary passport (or any other travel document) unless that for showing proof of meeting. Some people file I219F without the beneficiary having a passport at that moment, for my understanding is not required on that stage.

I thought some who are still waiting may find it useful so I compiled a list of everything we included in our approved petition. I know while I was waiting for our NOA2 I was overanalyzing every piece we sent and was reading threads thinking omg I didn’t do this or I did that or maybe I front loaded too much.

Ive also included a photo of our cover letter/contents page that was the first page in our packet that outlined everything we had inside.

(the post it notes were just so my fiancé knew where to sign and add his various documents)

So here it is complete list in order!

Enjoy -

In a soft cover folder with clear plastic slips we included

Cover letter (see copy below)

Check for $535USD

Completed I-129f (note I the beneficiary had over 15 addresses and had lived in two countries Australia & Canada) I also have one of the most common surnames ever (It’s basically Smith)

We also added a timeline of how we met / the relationship progressed. It was in dot points and was 3 pages. (We also met on a dating app and did not include the t&cs because we did not believe it was IMB)

Completed G-1145 form (for electronic updates)

Copy of front and back of petitioners US birth certificate (which i just realized is not on our cover letter Lolololol 😂)

WE DID NOT INCLUDE the US petitioners passport as we were under the impression the instructions required the birth certificate OR passport as proof of US citizenship.

1 passport photo of the petitioner

1 passport photo of the beneficiary (which we forgot to write our names on the back of both and were panicking we’d get an RFE for that)

2 letters of intent to marry (1 from each of us, both signed with wet signatures)

Evidence of our relationship and proof of meeting within the last 2 years -

Flight itineraries (we had 4 visits, I went to the USA 3 times, he came to Australia once - and proposed YAY)

Copy of beneficiary’s passport with only pages showing US entry stamps to correspond with the dates I visited. I also held a US B1/B2 visa so I included a copy of this also.

Photos from each visit. I included 5 original photos from each visit, making sure to date the back of each and write who was in each photo and the location it was taken. I also included photos of us doing various things that I also had booking confirmations for so it was like yes I was there white water rafting in October see here I am in action. 😂 I also made sure some photos included significant people, family, friends, housemates etc.

Copies of tickets and booking confirmations of activities we’d done together - I just found these all in my email and printed them (kayaking, day spas, tourist attractions in various cities etc)

Copies of social media posts from the start of our relationship to proposal (I put 3 posts her page on landscape and I had 17 pages in total 😂 (overkill maybe) but the posts ranged from photos of us (that I hadn’t included previously, Facebook check ins when we were together, birthday posts, anniversary etc also we included our engagement post and all the posts we were tagged in from family and friends congratulating us after we announced our engagement)

Lastly we included 3 pages of photos of gifts we had exchanged (and one receipt I managed to find because it was purchased online)

Wow this is a long post.

I hope at least someone will find this helpful or this gives someone some relief to anyone who is over analyzing what they included. We didn’t include any phone records, or chat history or letters from family affirming our relationship.

I have also travelled over a dozen times to the Usa (since I lived in Canada for 2 years) have a super common surname, have had 50 thousand jobs and addresses and was worried that would cause a delay in my background check.

HANG IN THERE can’t wait to see how many approvals tomorrow brings ☺️

Well I only have advice of what my lawyer had us do who was also a previous adjuster for uscis so I try and give my experience and what preparation we did also we really have a wedding date and plans in the even something happens we will change it but it’s way too much work to do in 90 days and no question is a trick if the the truth is the truth. I think at times this forum gives more fear to people then help

The CO's are well trained to interview people and to listen to the slightest hesitation or changes in body movement to detect fraud. They are really good at what they do. Yes if you are truthful no problems, but I am just expressing what I have experienced or what others have experienced so that you don't make the same mistake. The innocence of have a East Indian family gathering to celebrate an engagement looked to the CO as a wedding party and they stamped denied and said "next". The applicant didn't even get to explain. This is real boots on the ground experience.

When I was in my wife's Embassy I sat in the waiting area while she was interviewed. I could look straight ahead and see the process unfold before my eyes. But, I was close enough to another interview window where a CO was conducting an interview with a girl who had her child with her. Innocence enough for me, but I listened to their conversation and within 2 mins of questioning the CO uncovered visa fraud. The girl was trying to get a visa for her and her "sisters" child. Yes I said sister's child. Once discovered the CO denied the visa and now neither one can get a visa.

So, when I give you examples of things to be careful of it's for your own education.

Found this statement on uscis i-129 required documents info pdf Page. That’s all it says.

So if u haven’t traveled to the USA u can’t provided needed info.

Passport and Travel Document Numbers. If your beneficiary used a passport or travel document to travel to the United States, enter either the passport or travel document information in the appropriate space on the petition, even if the passport or travel document is currently expired

I’m the beneficiary and we didn’t send ANY of my passport info... no passport number, no stamps, no bio page with the I129f petition, nothing at all. We got our NOA2 yesterday without issues.

Why you getting pissed off. Did USCIS or NVC promise you something you didn't get. They just said that they will process your I-129f and that's what they are doing.

RE: I-129F Case

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

:wow:With this argument I should learn to just butt out. I come from a different generation then from what my eyes see now. They're part of the me too generation. It's what's wrong with our country and I am beginning to see it is in other country's too. We used to take responsibility for our own actions. If something was wrong we would find a way to fix it. We never moaned about it. But now we blame the other guy/establishment. Oy Vey.
