I think I dislike Mondays even more now. Mondays are terrible in general, start of the work week and all...but now we also have that they are working on our cases but they don't usually update the website or anything until the next morning. So it's just a day that stands in the way of hearing from USCIS. 😂

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

The "Receipt date for a case inquiry" shown there is the cutoff date for being considered outside of normal processing times. If you contact USCIS before then about the status of your case and it's newer than that date, they'll just tell you it's within normal processing times.

It's not the date of the last case they worked on or anything like that, and is usually about a month behind the newest non-expedite case they're working on (at least going by reports here).

You will not find a website with the information which case exactly they are processing at the moment. USCIS does not approve petitions in the exact arrival order. That is why you will always see people from current months being approved while filers from previous months are still waiting. If you want to see roughly what they are actually working on, you have to use Igor's list: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=3&sortby=2

Scroll down to the month you are looking for (February for example) and you will see until which day in February people have received approvals yet. Take my timeline for example: NOA1 Feb 15, NOA2 Aug 16. So you know that they have already worked on a Feb 16 case. Still, Feb 6 filers might still be waiting for approvals. And there are still January and December filers waiting for approval.

So checking this does not give you any valid confirmation on when your case is being processed, just a rough guesstimate on when it COULD potentially be processed.

Hello all! I'm feb 26 (old site & hardcopy) and March 1 on new site. Hoping to have good news soon! Been feeling down too for a few weeks because we are so close yet so far to be with our loved ones... I feel like a hostage "Day 175 since NOA1... No one knows we're in line yet" 😂

Hi,

I see you are from Mexico as well. Is it true that the only US embassy in Mexico that deals with fiance visa is ciudad Juarez? Thanks in advance.

That's kinda weird though because according to the USCIS site they go by order which they got the case/file.

Of course they do. But some cases take longer, for example due to background checks. So they put that case aside and move on to the next. That's why there is an official processing date on their website.

But if they did, you wouldn't find anyone being approved after that cutoff date here on VJ. Yet you do, so obviously they are working on cases that are beyond their official processing date.
