It's less than a hand full, but more and more end of January ones, I was just hoping that we will see some more February ones starting today or tomorrow.

There may be some that pop up. Don't expect a lot for February yet. It will slowly ramp up from here for us.

We we have to remember. Only a very small percentage of all February filers our on vj. With this said, don't be shocked when there is a say or 2 that we see none here on vj.

I have the total number of filers for the month. I'll post it in a few as it is on my phone...

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

I keep swinging between being super excited and being anxious. I found packing my belongings emotional, and one of the things I am struggling with is  making new friendships. I know I will, but there's nothing like your best friends from home.

I related to your post because I already live apart from my home country and it was soooo difficult to leave. Like I was super excited but the day before my travel I was almost like "I better stay". The fear is awful and for me it almost stopped me (I moved alone no friend no family no nothing) but the thing is that once you do it, you will not have time to be depressed, like of course you'll be sad for some time but trust me you can handle it. And you'll have someone waiting for you at your destination!!! It would be a great experience I promise... And about your belongings... funny thing is that after 5 days away you kind of forget all the things you had and you won't miss them anymore lol! I have 2 years away and don't remember my closet, a few thing that my mom sent me but really specifics, nothing like "I've should have brought that red pant" naaah don't worry, don't get extra attach to things, they come and go. Attach to your family and spend as much time you can together before leaving!

Has anyone who filed in February called USCIS yet? Just curious

It’s kinda pointless to call yet. 189 days is to early. Which would be the first of February received date. Majority of the time they will just tell u that ur within normal processing time and wait till day 210 or 215. (Depending on which site date u go by).

I see, I did see someone from the January thread who called at ~185 days on the new site and got good news.

U can do as u like.

I believe tho that if u call and ask prior to out of normal processing time. And they haven’t touched ur case yet. They will set it aside and make u wait even longer.

just remember. Every time u call it’s noted on ur account. Also, for the month of February there is a total of 3500 cases to be reviewed plus left overs from other months..

That is absolutely not true. Calling does not slow down the process. I don't even know why you would say something like that without evidence.

It was my opinion. Sorry for not making that clearer.
