My fiancé sent our application on feb 23rd and they received feb 26th which is the date in the later and old site. New site is saying March 1st but pleaseeeeee say I’m still a February filer and let me stay in the club with you guys 😂

I need to think NOA2 is coming soon or I'll get crazy!

Well mine says march 13 on the old and march 12 on the new.  I am assuming uscis is using rhe new that should be all that matters because its that date you use if you are out of the date range and need to call.  In 3 or 4 months the old date will be gone and people can stop getting hung up on which date it is.  I am sure there is a big pile of folders and they just go grab one anyway and they are not worried about what they get as long as its relatively close to whats being worked on because every case is different and may take more or less time to process.

USCIS roughly goes by receipt date to process cases. The VJ instructions tell you to input your notice date for your timeline. There is a slight variation in the time between receipt date and notice date both for NOA1 and NOA2 for many people. Back before this old/site new site mantra, it would be a mix of people inputing one of two of those dates in their timeline. These are the two dates that help people understand roundabouts where the USCIS is working.

I don't get emails every time, I get text messages. Is there a way to cancel the one time password?

I don't think you can turn it off as it is a security feature.

If you change your preference to email in your account settings, you will only receive emails. Those I just delete after I logged in.

We are at 175 days - getting super impatient! Started selling some of my stuff I don’t use/won’t be taking with me when I move. I’ve also started putting together a binder of all our stuff - copy of the forms, receipts, my criminal record check, my immunizations. Just trying to get ahead of the caos that will hopefully pick up soon! Have you guys started getting your stuff together yet?

I've put together a folder which so far contains my noa1, a couple of US style passport photos, police certificate, and medical summary and list of immunisations. Last year before we got engaged, I made a scrapbook for a first anniversary gift which is full of photos, receipts, plane tickets etc so this is now very handy as I can take it to the interview 😀

So just a few further bits to do once noa2 comes but for now I'm feeling quite organised. Come onnnnn Feb approvals 🤩

NOA1: February 13th

NOA2: September 4th

NVC case # assigned: September 21st

Medical @ Knightsbridge: December 5th

Interview: December 17th

Hi everyone!

I am also a Feb filer and I hope our approvals will come soon! I have sent my application on January 26th from the Netherlands. We got our NOA1 on 7th of Februari but the new website says 12th of Februari.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can do your medical examination already before you've got your NOA2? I just want to have all the paperwork ready for when I get my NOA2:)

I knew about the interview but it is a bummer that they will not let you take the medical exam! Thanks for answering my question though:)

Technically yes, you can. But I would advise you not to. Unfortunately there are still people that wait 250+ days on their NOA-2. I don't wish that on anybody, but if it happens to you your medical might expire. Jus be patient and wait until you get your NOA-2 and then make an appointment with the dr.
