I Agree this letter is not a requirement at the uscis phase but intent to wed should come with evidence at the interview because that’s where you need to show you plan to marry within 90 days from entry into the USA. I did submit an affidavit letter that breaks down our relationship from meeting to engagement but the intent letters we both have prepared for the embassy notarized with evidence of our wedding plans . Everything will come For all of us I have faith

Unless your Embassy requests a letter, and most do not, then there is no need to prepare one. The letter you submitted with the I-129f answered the question if you are willing to marry within 90 days of arriving in the US. Also, nothing has to be notarized as they eliminated that when they required original documents at the interview and only copies when you sent in the I-129f package. They may ask about wedding plans but be very careful as this can be a "trick" question. Best to answer that you have talked about plans and picked colors etc but with not knowing when we would get an approved visa we have not set any dates. that's all.

Keep in mind that the CO who will interview the beneficiary and has already reviewed your case and if their are no red flags will ask you just a few questions, mostly about the petitioner. The interview will take no longer then 5-10 min at best. You will be in and out so fast that you'll ask yourself on the way out, I did all that work, I worried this entire time, I complained everyday on VJ and I am in front of her/him for 5 min.

Just follow what your Embassy ask for in the P3 letter and you will be fine. Doing more then Do is not necessary when do will do.

NOA1 feb 16th . I don’t know if I should be happy or  sad after discovering that my fiancé didn’t attached the intent to marry latter .. Am not just happy at all. I don’t know what to do anymore .

I have seen some applications get approved without the letter. Depends on the adjudicator. If the adjudicator that you get requires it you will receive an RFE to include it setting you back 3-5 weeks.

We have the same date and I'm also still waiting. I'm starting to get real pissed off.

Why you getting pissed off. Did USCIS or NVC promise you something you didn't get. They just said that they will process your I-129f and that's what they are doing.

RE: I-129F Case

USCIS records confirm that the referenced case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

Remind me-

Does the I-129F ask for beneficiary passport?
because I suppose you could use the passport- but I doubt U.S. has access to every nation's database to run a search.
Again, if beneficiary has never stepped foot on america soil, I don't know how you can track them.

The good news about immigration is nothing goes unnooticed
I heard the other day a lady denied of citizenship because a mess up occurred during the I-129F process
So even if beneficiary enters by lying about police records etc, U.S. Will find out at one point or the other
So I don't think they care that much.
Because at the interview state, so long as those criminal questions come back NO and you're not an avid traveler/from some certain more looked at countries, you got nothing to worry about

The US uses multi databases both within the US and Internationally. That's why it's easier to get through this process if you are not from a high fraud country. Now "fraud" can be interrupted as an individual as much as a country. To run a search in a database nowadays is a matter of a split second. So don't discount passport searches or criminal databases.

As part of its benefits adjudication process and as required by law, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background checks on petitioners and applicants who seek certain immigration benefits. These background checks consist of four separate checks against systems within Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In order to facilitate the collection and transmission of information necessary to complete background check processes, USCIS maintains five information technology electronic systems: the Fingerprint Masthead Notification System (FMNS), the Customer Identity Capture System (CICS), the FD-258 Tracking System - Mainframe (FD-258 MF), the Benefits Biometrics Support System (BBSS), and the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) Manifest. USCIS is conducting this privacy impact assessment (PIA) because FMNS, CICS, FD-258 MF, BBSS, and IBIS Manifest collect, use, and share personally identifiable information (PII). This PIA replaces the previously published USCIS PIA for the "Background Check Service (BCS)" which describes planned background check-related systems that were never implemented. Upon publication of this PIA, the BCS PIA will be retired.

Yes beneficiary has to send copies of passport and all pages with stamps on it.

thanks again for ur input.

Beneficiary? I think it's good to add it as a proof of meeting if the beneficiary is the one who traveled but not a regular requirement... I didn't include my passport and neither a few people that I've been following in groups.

Well I only have advice of what my lawyer had us do who was also a previous adjuster for uscis so I try and give my experience and what preparation we did also we really have a wedding date and plans in the even something happens we will change it but it’s way too much work to do in 90 days and no question is a trick if the the truth is the truth. I think at times this forum gives more fear to people then help
