Yes, I did file a G-1145, so that is reassuring. Thanks Naes! What is the benefit of having a USCIS account then? And how to you sign up for one? I can't seem to find the option on the USCIS website (the mobile website anyway).

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

go here and it is under the case status tracker. It also has "why sign up"

we didn't so I don't know what else it does.

but you see your case gets some updates, not really updates but sometimes dates change.

other than that you can easily change basic info such as addresses etc. but that's pretty much it as far as I know.

I have signed up and you can see the last date your case has been touched and if you click on it you get the case history.

You can also set up email notification of changes and mobile notification (doesn't work on foreign number)

Word of advice: set it up on a laptop or computer. The mobile website has trouble accessing the account (password verification doesn't work).

So you can do it even if you're the beneficiary or you guys created a petitioner account?

I created an applicant account cause I'm no petitioner. I will be applying for the visa.

Hmm I'll try that too.

Because I saw it in AOS too so maybe having one is better

It can't hurt. But like I said, try it on laptop or computer as the mobile version has problems.

I have a question for beneficiaries (but petitioners feel free to speak up, of course). It's a little personal: are you fully, 100% happy and ready to leave your country?

I am very, very happy to be with my fiance, we have been in LDR for 4 years right now, so it's about time, but it's kind of a bitter-sweet feeling. I am excited to start a "normal" life with him, that's what I am waiting for... but at the same time, it's hard to say goodbye to my family, friends, to leave my job (hell I'm going to miss my kitty so much too,  I have had her for 9 years)... I am trying to focus on the happy part of the moving, but honestly I'm a little bit affraid of the travel to my new home. That's why I really want him to pick me up.

What about you? I never have had a chance to talk with other people in the same situation, I'm very curious. I suppose it's not easy for anyone...

Hi guys, hope you're all having a good day.

So yesterday I had a quick look at our final version of the I-29F form; and my fiancé forgot to fill in 'Yes' or 'No' for question 4.a. 'Have you ever been arrested, indicted, convicted, etc...' A little frustrating seeing as we did so many double checks but very stupidly missed it. I guess these things happen.

My guess now is that we will get an RFE to complete this, am I correct? Will they still accept the application; or will this affect NOA1? I've just gone into full panic mode. :/

Filed & Mailed I-129f:                           13th Feb. 2018

Packet Delivered:                                  16th Feb. 2018

NOA1 Text & Email:                               20th Feb. 2018

NOA1 Hard copy Received:                  24th Feb. 2018

Rfe, no one will even realize before that.

Oh, sorry - hopefully they will never notice it or just a quick RFE - when did you submit your I-129F? I will recommend you update your timeline and 'follow' other timeline similar to you, that way you'll know whats happening around your peers with similar time frame. Good luck and please dont stress out!

By the way, I sent USPS Express over-night and paid the extra fees as I wanted my packet in as soon as possible.

The post office rep said they are closed Monday for Presidents Day.  I'm wondering if all Gov agencies are closed as well?  Did I just waste $40+ trying to send it over-night as I wanted it there Monday (or at the processing place) ASAP?

They actually did the opposite on mine, they deposited the check after I received the notification. Also did you fill out the G-1145? If you didn't that may be another reason you didn't receive the message that they got it.

02/12/18 - USCIS received package

02/15/18 - Notification of NOA1 (Text and Email) NEW DATE

02/23/18 - Hard copy of NOA1

Did you file the additional G-1145?

if not they won't send you electronic notification and you will have to wait for paper noa.

if yes they will send you. You don't need an account.

So I called the lawyer that filed my petition today and now they are telling me that they DID NOT file a G-1145, and that they don't normally do that. No idea why they wouldn't send a G-1145 in. Kind of makes me doubt my lawyer now...

In any case, check was cashed on 2/14.

So my timeline is: packet sent 2/6, delivered 2/9, check cashed 2/14 (so package received 2/14 at the latest).

And now I'm waiting on NOA1 paper notification by snail mail...
