I have the same issue...EAD was approved November 27 and being send in the mail...but it never arrived! I send a service request (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc) but they did not respond to it and when I finally called USCIS last week on the day I was allowed to call for information, they rudely informed me that in their system it said the card had been delivered and since it was not tagged as undeliverable I just have to start the whole process over!!! I made an infopass appointment for next week because it is ridiculous that they cant just make a new card since it has already been approved.

My wife just received her Work authorization and Advanced Parole Combo card last Friday. There was a delay because we missed two biometics appointments due to work travel and holiday travel. Was able to reschedule. Once we made her 3rd appointment, the combo card arrived in a week. Now we are waiting for the interview to be scheduled.

I second the advice to call and speak with a tier 2 officer. Most have been very helpful and can look further into the case. First level agents only seem to have information you can see from the USCIS website.

That's the standard answer you get from the customer service representatives. They always told me to just wait a bit longer. Ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer who actually has access to this kind of information. I have never heard of an EAD taking more than 2 months to be delivered after approval; usually things move very fast after approval.

Yeah me too. I heard its just 10-14 days. Have you heard about the Ombudsman Assistance?

Gosh! This is really pain. Sorry, you mean they let you do all the process including the biometrics? 😞 Were planning to go back in the Philippines this March and i need it badly. I cant imagine if i will do everything all over again.

It usually takes maximum 2 weeks for you to get the combo card after receiving the approval letter. That is really quite unfortunate that you were one of the people who had that issue. I know a couple of vj users who also took quite a while before they received their card--even after multiple follow-ups with USCIS. USCIS is at fault here and i am sorry that you are unfortunately one of those victimized by their incompetence. :(:(

You just have to have more patience and be vigilant in getting what you deserve...which is your ead/ap combo card. Call them oftento follow-up and file service requests.

Already called them today and talked to the officer he said uscis mailed on my previous address on December 6,2017 and it was on our mailbox. But it really doesnt makes sense to me. We moved out and changed address to my new address before December. Then all my incoming letter from our old address is monitored thru USPS informed delivery. But the officer told me today it was delivered on December 6 and my approval notice delivered December 5 which it is really confusing. I only recieved my approval notice. He said to re-file for replacement card. And it really makes me sad i really don’t know how to start and how long i will wait since were traveling this April back to Philippines and it will all wasted. 😢😢😢

Can it be possible for you to make an infopass appointment? It would be much better to talk to an officer face to face and explain your case rather than the ones on the phone.

1. The USPS often does NOT forward official government mail (such as mail from USCIS), so that's probably why it didn't get forwarded from your old address.

2. When did you update your address? My wife updated her address about a week before she was approved for her green card, but the GC went to our "old" address. Thankfully it was 2 days before our actual move, so she received her green card. Point being USCIS seems to be a bit slow in updating its records. Sounds like that's what happened for you unfortunately.

3. Don't waste your time calling USCIS. Make an infopass appointment. It will be more useful, I promise.

I am about to apply for the combo card since my AOS has been pending for over 14 months. What is a good reason to give for the advanced parole card? I haven't seen my dad in almost 4yrs and he'd getting old! Is that a good reason to give for wanting an advanced parole card?

thanks. Any good suggestions will be great!

Yes, that's a good reason for wanting AP.

Good luck!

there are exceptions of course, but normally the card arrives a week or so after you receive the approval notice. it is abnormal for you to have not received your card after 2 months. so two things could have happened:

1) your card was shipped but maybe there was an issue and USPS could not deliver to your mailbox. therefore your card was sent back to sender. did you move? are you listed as a resident in your address for mailing purposes? check with your local post office.

2) this happened to another filer in the Oct group. after waiting for two months her card never arrived, she did countless calls to USCIS and reps always told her that it takes 60 days for the card to arrive. after waiting and waiting, she finally booked an infopass appointment and only then did she find out that there was a malfunction while printing her card and so it was never shipped in the first place. infopass agent ordered a new card for her right then and there and she received it a week or so after.

phone reps are useless in this case and you will be just given the run around. i suggest you book an infopass appointment asap. they will be able to help you locate your card.

That is a good lesson for me as well.

I have to move for my new job and have signed up for a new apartment that is to start next week. But I will not give my current landlord 30 day notice of moving out until I receive the card.

Hope you do not have to do it all over again.
