Good morning to all VJ'ers! What a ride I've been on the last couple months! Hubby is in Texas now and really doing well in his new business! I've been through a ton of crud at the doctors office lately trying to get scheduled for a surgery on my hand which is now scheduled for this week. My son is wrapping up his school year and they've had all kinds of things going on there. I'm tying to sell my house (that has been a tough one). Just busy busy busy.

I hope everybody is doing well and all of your visa processes are moving swiftly. Congrats to those whose SO's have arrived and much luck to those in waiting!

Have a great day

yeah, saw that about the bridge...i've always been afraid of overpasses and thats the reason. now, I know that not every bridge will have a burning tanker on it but they are capable of collapse.

as for being chipper... I have no clue why... lol God works in mysterious ways...

hehe cute pic charles!

LOL....not bad when you have extra income to pad that extra expense. I think I could handle it more if it was actually good insurance. Still have a $5000.00 deductible and 30% after that. Oh well

a guy here at work tries to stay activated as long as he can, so his medical is paid for while he's on duty with the national guard. otherwise about half of his paycheck disappears for medical insurance.

uuggghhhhh...monday. Had about 3 hours sleep last night. Casa still isn't open. No longer have any hope of that interview that was scheduled for this week. But hey, on the bright side, I have the whole week off. Got put on medical leave because my blood pressure was too high. So now I am getting paid to stay home and relax. I thought my insurance was high, but I will no longer complain. It is under $200 for a family plan and I only have a $20 co-pay. Seeing what others are paying, I'm very lucky with my good isurance at a reasonable rate. Hope everyone has a great day!

I won't complain either 'cause my health insurance is free and I only have a $15 deductible. You guys are gettin' hosed!!!!:blink::blink:

Hubster didn't have time to go to the embassy yet and Tuesday is labor day so hopefully he will go on Wednesday to get the packet 3 that they never included. Not too much in a rush though since he's still in the process of getting his passport so that's ok. Well it's not ok because it's needless waiting but whatever...I'm not gonna fret about it at this point. Inshalllah he'll get his butt in gear this week and git r done!!!!!!! I should talk since I still haven't gone to the bank yet to get my stuff done. Why are we so lazy all of a sudden!!! I think it's cause we both know it'll be another few months before the interview and then months after that before the visa. If we thought this would be a casa timeline we'd have it all set by now. OH well.

Rainy and dreary monday here.

OMG that bridge or highway collapsing is my worst nightmare!!! I drive through something similar every day and I always have nightmares that just as it collapses my car goes flying into the Mystic River!!!

Good morning all. That bridge thing in Calif was scary looking, but they say no one was killed, which is nothing short of amazing.

I got Omar to his new job after a very restless night of sleep. I don't know if he was in some way anxious (like we used to be for our first day of school) or what, but neither of us slept well. I hope we can get to bed early tonight.

I can't believe what you are paying for insurance based on deductible Amerlu. Or some of the others I saw posted here. I had a policy with $1500 deductible and $15 copay which I paid $100/mo for. However, I found that it did not cover some of the things I wanted or needed, so just changed to new policy with $500 deductible. After Omar meets the 90 day mark, our whole family gets insurance for $20/month.

This will be a busy week for us. Three birthdays, our food tasting for the reception and a neighbor's birthday party and my bridal shower on Saturday. I think I might sleep all day Sunday just to recover.

Thanks Doodle. No, he will be sanding trucks in preparation for painting. After he is there for a while they will train him to paint, which will be more money. He is pretty proud of himself since he got the job on his own...wrote the email reply to the ad; talked to the hiring guy 1:1 without any help from me. The only thing I did was set up the appt. I should be hearing from hiim in the next hour to see how his day is going. The only downside is it's the opposite end of town from where I work, so we can't commute together like we did when he worked at the warehouse. But it's better pay, so can't complain. HOpefully we can get him his license and a car soon, so he can ditch the bus. it's a 3-bus trip
