finally got greencard!

We did everything by the book and finally got the GC today.  The date on the card next to 'Resident Since' is 6 months earlier than what I expected (I'd expect it to be our wedding day.)  The date they put is actually the date they received the 129-F petition, seems weird to me!

 

I suppose this is a high quality problem to have.  I will call them on Monday to see if this is even an issue.  I am curious, did anybody else have their 'Residence Since' date on their GC be before the marriage date?

You are right this is incorrect. You are also incorrect in the resident since date being your marriage date. It should be the date they approved the green card, not the 129f date or your wedding date. 

 

You need to apply for a correction, it will be free as it is their mistake. I-90 is the form that’s needed

OK, apparently they put the priority date as the 'Resident since' on the card, clearly a mistake.  Like you said, we have to file i-90 and wait 8+ months lol.  Meanwhile we will get a 551 stamp on her passport to prove she is a legal permanent resident.
