Hi Le,

No Surprise though! The estimate time provided is of no significance! Don't rely on it! I know people who had interview scheduled  right away from status" We reviewed your biometrics" in no time, while they had a current estimate time of 9-13 months. So ignore it!

After your biometrics, did your status changed to "reviewed your biometrics" after your logged into your account? if it did, how long did it take to reflect under your account after you did your biometrics? I did my biometrics today, but it's reflecting that they are reviewing only through the Case Status Online Checking. Under my account, it's still saying that they scheduled my biometrics.

Usually the status updates to your online USCIS account take place overnight so you’ll get notification in the early am tomorrow saying there’s an update to your case and your status will have changed to “we reviewed your biometrics”. I got the email and text notification of the status change around 6:45am eastern time the day after my biometrics.

Oh, ok. thank you. Yeah, I had mine today and I was hoping it would update right away. Hopefully, it will be updated on my USCIS account tmr morning. They still haven't uploaded my biometric appointment letter online, but I finished it with the physical copy that I received through mail last week.

Hey all,

I’m currently in the UK doing an (unpaid, just for school) internship/study abroad program through my school for the summer, and I was running on the assumption that I’d be back in the US for my interview (based on friends’ waiting times, and anecdotal data I’d seen here) by September. But, does anyone know how long your application will be delayed if you request to reschedule the interview?

My choices are to fly back for a day (Edinburgh to San Francisco, which would be about $1000 round trip), or to wait. Money’s a bit tight (I’m a student!) but I could fish the airfare out of my savings if absolutely necessary. I graduate in December and would like to be able to consider graduate studies in Europe afterward, so shooting for naturalization by January-February... WWYD?

My interview date was June 5, 2018 but I had to re-schedule because I was flying to the UK for a vacation. I really wish I hadn't rescheduled now because I've heard nothing about a new appointment date. I went to an Infopass appointment last Tuesday and was told it will be a month, or two, or longer until I receive a new appointment date. I so wish I'd just gone to the original appointment.

@CTgal18 any update on your case? Mine says:

You attended your interview

You do not need to do anything at this time

We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application.

They gave me the letter that I was recommended for approval and now this. During my interview she said that she would make some changes on my trip dates and asked me If had stayed out of the country for more than six months, I said no, which is true. I stayed out of the country for 102 days only. I'm feeling very confused now. Am I approved or not??? Anyone in the same situation?

Nope. No updates from me yet. Egov still says “oath ceremony will be scheduled” and online acount says “we approved your application” and nothing has come in the mail. 21 days post interview today... :(

I’m trying very hard not to panic but my mind keeps wondering if there’s an issue or if my file got lost or something. I know it sometimes takes time so I’m just trying to be patient.

Good friend of mine from my neighborhood applied on February 28th (Albany, NY).  His biometrics were two weeks after ours.  He just got his interview scheduled (Albany, again) for August 7th, two weeks after ours.

He's been in the US for 26 years (he's married to a US Citizen), and is just getting around to applying for citizenship.  He's had a "permanent" green card - guess they stopped issuing them a long time ago.

We are so glad that he's got his interview too!  We are actually hoping we might be scheduled for the same oath ceremony.

So just so you know: you’re not alone. One of my cousins still waiting for oath. She had her interview  mid June . And the other cousin got her oath 15 days after interview.. so strange.

Thanks for letting us know, it actually does make me feel better to know that it’s not just me. I was worrying something was wrong. Well hopefully we won’t have to wait too long until it’s scheduled.
