Hi gang! Congratulations for all the interviews and approvals so far! I'm still getting the "we haven't forgotten about you" emails every 2 weeks (as @Sukie mentioned) and am settling in for a long wait. Currently my estimated wait time for an update is reading 8 months... I really hope it's sooner than that, but now that I've finally got my 10 year green card (and sorted out the mess when they accidentally sent me 2) I'm not in too much of a rush. I was hoping to be able to vote in the midterms, but barring some miracle that's not going to happen, so I'll just hang out here and wait!

Meanwhile, hubby just started being a classroom teacher in AZ about a month before the teachers went on strike. It looks like it might be a bit of a lean summer for us, since obviously he had to quit his other jobs to take the teaching position, and now he's not getting paid at all. Anyway, that's what's been taking up all our time lately - it makes it a bit easier to wait when there's lots going on in the real world.

Is your timeline updated?

It makes you wonder what that they're doing when there are so few assuming that we're a suitable sample of the overall applications :)

I think VJ members represent probably 1-3% of the total, and we are too small a sample to be statistically significant.

I do wish more people were on VJ, as I have found it INCREDIBLY helpful as we have gone through the process (we started in 2010).

This is very important to remember.  Especially when people try to find patterns in the madness and come up with "rules" like if you apply 90 days early you'll be delayed.

Derwood - let me know what you are going to do.  We are in Oz until June 15, and then, smack dab after we get back to the US, my brother is getting married, and I'll be away from home for a week.

I'd love for the interview to come through for July, but now I actually fear it is going to come in early June.  We can come back early, but I'd rather not....

Thanks for letting me know.  My heart sinks for you, as I know that this will add to the stress!  But they have to understand unrefundable tickets...I hope!

yes you can get updated any day of the week from USCIS as I said in a previous post I was told at the info pass the system doesn't always update in realtime sometimes even 3 days later hence why some people receive a their approval letter saying case approved march 10 but they would see an update online saying as of march 11 we have approved your case. it will show whenever the computer actually post the update.
