Well, today I had my interview so I would like to share my experience with you all. my interview was scheduled for 09:30am at local office in Kansas City Missouri. My wife and I arrived around 09

In other news, I Spent all morning on Monday at USCIS in Tucson sorting out the debacle with them sending me a second green card - this one with the wrong "resident as of" date - they actually had "updated" my info so that the "resident as of" date reflected the day my I-751 was approved! :bonk: 

 

Anyway, after much patient conversation with the officer, he was able to "update" it againto the original date. Poor guy was so confused as to what had happened! He took both cards back to the back office and I could see him trying to explain it to the supervisor.... so weird. But all seems to be back to normal now.  

 

Ah, USCIS, how I will NOT miss you when this is finally all over and I'm a citizen!

Hi Guys! Just an update. I had my interview just mins ago. It took 25 mins. They gave me a paper with a check mark on the spot that says, congratulations and my application is recommended for approval!! It went well over all. Officer was nice. He said oath letter will be send on my mail in with in 30 days time frame. Let me know if you have questions! Good luck to everyone ! 😊😊😊

Congratulations! Journey is almost over!


You can upload as much detail of the interview as you possibly can on here so many of us with upcoming interviews can learn a thing or two. Also your preparation and the environment at the USCIS if its frightening lol.

 I know what you mean about that message, its nice to receive updates than nothingness. I know @Derwood case was sent to NBC recently, a joint filing and I have said to them that they most likely will hear in a week or so a month before their 3rd anniversary, as their office isn't too bad logged right now and NBC arrange interviews to local field offices.  I guess we shall find out next week and find out about mine the week after.   Exciting times really. :)

I know this may seem like a silly question, but how do you know what local office your N400 is being sent to? I just filed the N400 and I am so confused, I filed online so I really cannot see anywhere where it says local office.

Not a silly question but normally your local office, however a couple of cases have gone to a field office nearby, I guess to help the back log. Has to be relatively near so you can travel there. You will receive a letter for interview online and then a few days letter with your interview and it should also say at the bottom of the page online how long your local office is taking.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

You will receive a letter for interview online and then a few days letter with your interview and it should also say at the bottom of the page online how long your local office is taking.

Just be aware that I also read an article about some one attending an interview with their documentation and the IO refused to look at it and then requested an RFE. I guess they were just having an off day but it wasnt very kind to the person attending the interview who then had to wait for the RFE when they could have submitted those documents at interview.  I was thinking of taking my documents to interview but after reading this experience I have decided to upload them.
