I did get something about them reviewing biometrics and the other site said we are actively reviewing you application.  I just dont understand why at the top of the page it says estimated completion date 7 months, was 6 months the day before and down below it says estimated time 6 months, two dates?

I dont expect any news until  a month before the 3rd anniversary of my conditional card. It seems that they like to/or use to send you an interview a month before the 3rd anniversary of your GC, if through marriage and 5 years if not through marriage.  I have noticed on our thread (Feb) the ones who receive interviews are the ones past these dates.

The first number is the estimated case completion time and the second is the estimated wait time for an interview. People are reporting the estimated completion time has been changing for them. And I believe based on a lot of posts in the last couple months that that “in line for interview” step is not a thing anymore. You go from “we reviewed your biometrics” to “we scheduled your interview”. So just have to wait for that update. Although the wait time may say 6 months some people are getting it way earlier but it depends on the field office and how they’re handling online submissions vs paper submissions.

Thanks for that. I had a feeling what that might be about, but wasnt 100 percent sure. I looked at Jan filers yesterday and some were inline, however with these totally bizarre new processing times that changed a couple of days ago nothing surprises me.     Or perhaps I am like these cats, USCIS and their processing times scare the heck out of me!

Hi all.. i would appreciate very much your opinion with my situation:

Miami Field Office

I e-filed n-400 on january 3rd 2018. Got  FP done on jan 9th, and received interview letter on march 1st. However, that same day I also received a letter from USCIS that states that USCIS descheduled the interview due to unforeseen circumstances.

Any thoughts? have any of you heard that before? should I worry?

thanks for the help

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Yea I was looking through the new page and those processing times are pretty crazy. My estimated case completion time for citizenship is January 2019. I think that estimate is going to be close to accurate. There are not many reporting timelines in Hartford but the 2 I saw on trackitt from 2017 took 8 months from filing to oath. I imagine it’s a little longer now. I’m not even in a hurry, but it would still be nice to be done with this process sooner than the end of the year. Plus it would be nice to be done and able to vote for the first time this year.

I joined this site to help pass the time with the wait but honestly seeing people get interviews so quickly and knowing I still have quite the wait is kind of depressing.  Although I guess I shouldn’t complain because some of those processing times in Texas are out of control.

This is more likely coincidence than any USCIS policy.  Every case is unique and the time to complete the process will largely depend on your field office (some are a lot faster than others) and whether you get held up by the background check.  Most people don't have issue with the BC, but every now and then a common name will cause issues or you may get unlucky and be randomly picked for a manual review which can add time on to the process.

Hey there 😊 folks will need to know which lockbox you mailed the application to as well as your field office/application  service center so they can add you to the right list.

@Anabless do you remember when we searched our zip codes and they were defaulting to the Albany office? Well I just saw a topic started by someone on here about their interview being scheduled in Albany when they live in Fairfield County. I would quote the post if I wasn’t on my phone and knew how to do that. I replied trying to find out when they filed. It’s very interesting that that is a real thing. I’m curious to know when it was effective for.

Oh ohhhh, so we might have this possibility then to drive so far away?? Well... I wouldn't mind if they schedule my interview quickly lol. Otherwise I would prefer to have it in Hartford, an hour from home. If this happen and the interview will be in the morning I certainly will have to get a cheap hotel reservation. I cant handle all this stress. Thanks @CTgal18 for the info and please keep me posted.

If this does happen to you guys, let me know, and I'll help you find a close hotel.  The USCIS office is about 10 minutes north of Albany Airport and I think it is pretty easy to get to (since it's our home office).  If you can get up to I-90 easily, it's not a bad way to go.

Actually, I think the theory I have regarding a month before is correct (field office processing times allowing of and back ground checks of course) Just saw that KVE has an interview letter, which was sent a month prior to their 3 year anniversary of their conditional card. (this Saturday they received the email) Jan filers.   I am betting around April the 26th I will receive an email regarding an interview, doubt it will be before this date. All interviews on Feb Filers right now are either 5 years past their conditional card or 3 years.

He responded that his family filed in Sept 2017. So it’ll be interesting to see if those zip codes were being routed to Albany this whole time and if we’ll have our interviews there too. Also good to have some timeline perspective from someone in the area. Kinda stinks a little that it took 6 months to get an interview date though..
