I’m so confused right now. Previously when I entered my zip code, Hartford field office would pop up which makes sense since I live in CT. But now when I enter my zip code, it says field office for my zip code is Albany, NY. Has this happened to anyone before? Are they just busy and transfered some cases to a different office? Now I don’t even know which is my field office since when I applied it said Hartford, but now it’s different. And I did recently have a change in my estimated case completion time. It went from 12 months to 9. I wonder if that’s because it moved offices. And honestly it’ll kinda suck if that is my office because it’s 2 and a half hours away from me.

Well, that's a new one on me (my field office is Albany!).  You did your biometrics in Hartford, didn't you?  I would assume your interview would be there, too.

When you look at the Albany Field Office stats, it looks like they only process 3 types of forms.  Wonder if the Hartford Office stats still say they process the N-400.....

My biometrics was scheduled at and done at Port Chester. Port Chester is 20 minutes from me where as Hartford is a little over an hour away.

Oh, CTGal, looks like they have now re-routed all of Fairfield County to Albany.  That's hard!  So sorry!

It’s actually only about 1/3 of Fairfield County. The rest are still assigned to Hartford. It’s bizarre. I’m curious as to when it became effective and if I’ll really be assigned to Albany. I can only speculate it’s a case load thing because the 2nd closest field office is NYC but I’m sure they have a crazy case load. I guess only time will tell.

@Anabless have you tried searching recently which field office your zip code is assigned to? Has it changed for you as well?

Hi All, I am sure this question has been asked already, but does applying for your N-400 while the I-751 is pending slow down the process even further? I filed my n-400 in February 2018 at the Chicago local office and my i751 in March 2017 at CSC.

I have been waiting for my ROC for 12 months now, and now worried that i may have made it worse by filing my N-400 early.

Anybody know's if this is truly the case?

Thanks,

No it does not. However your N-400 cannot be adjudicated without i751 being approved first. They are both processed concurrently and if need be, they will do a combo interview of the i-751 & N-400.

@CTgal18I noticed that my timeline had changed from 12 months to 9 months which was really good but now when I checked my office it shows Albany too aargh... 2.5 hour from where I am.

I wish there were an easy way online to find out where your case was assigned to. I hope this change took place after we filed because it will be kind of annoying to have to drive 5 hours round trip for the interview. Damn my insomnia, that’s what led me to find that and now I really want to know if my case is in Albany.

@CTgal18You know what even that they transferred to NY to be reviewed I believe our interview will be in CT. Lets hope for the best. Don't be anxious.

Hopefully. Seeing that then seeing this on their site makes me think they’re just overloaded and finding ways to play catch-up.

Maybe, February has a lot of applicants compared to the prior months.

Wow, so what happens when people need an info pass for an i551 stamp?  I am wondering if its anything to do with the rumour of ROC transfers and they are overloaded with them?

Its probably one of those that is database related where when new cases are added it just automatically sorts ECD and increments.
