@Sukie We are from the same county if I'm not wrong We leave at same city. I called the USCIS and they said that I can only speak to an officer 90 days after my interview but in the meantime I can get an infopass appt to my local office and speak directly to an officer there. I'll wait till the middle of the next week, my local office is 2 hours from where I live,  I was trying to avoid this trip.

Hi Folks -  I have a general question. Are the field offices determined based on current residence only? We applied online, live in Chicago, so our case was sent to the Chicago field office. That just happens to be one of the slowest offices in the country. If I had mailed the paper application to another lockbox, say for instance Phoenix. Would the application still bounce back to Chicago, or would it stay in Arizona? I am just curious to know if something I had done could've sped up the process a little bit. We also would've gladly flown to Arizona or anywhere else for an interview if that were the case.

it is based on location of your residence.

 

if you sent to other offices that have no jurisdiction over your case, it could most likely delay your case

Congrats for all the people getting approved, I am little bit jealous , I don't even have an interview date! 

Does any of you have an application for the I-751 as well? If this is the case did you get your interview for the N-400 or nothing?

 

I am afraid that having the  I-751 pending at the same time is slowing things down.

Both Julie and our friend Tony got hand-written Naturalization Ceremony schedules just after they finished their interviews in Albany.  We didn't know if we would get "official" letters or not, since we both knew we were on the schedule.  Yesterday, Julie got 4 "we have no updates" to her case, and this morning, we got an online notice that they had mailed the N-445 letter. I should have been suspicious, as we normally get those "we have no update" letters on Monday. I did notice that the mailed letter has one of those square bar codes on it - which her hand-written letter does NOT have.

 

We'll probably get the actual letter on Monday or Tuesday.  I have no idea from where they are mailed....

 

Anabless, I'm pulling for you.  I really WOULD give them a call.  Will your ceremony be at the same place where CTGal had hers, or are you in a different county?

Are you getting a name change?

 

i emailed the Clerk of my district and she said they only do a couple of name change ceremonies a year. Mind you I live in a very rural district. So I may have to wait till November if they don’t put me in with the September crowd. I really hope I get September so I can vote in November.

No name change.  My County is an agricultural one - mostly apples and dairy.  Very rural.  But I guess since we are only one hour from the state capital, we have a more robust naturalization schedule.

I am in the same boat as you. This waiting game is killing my nerves! I do believe that combined applications are slowing things down. Did your case get transferred to NBC? Mine did, and so far I haven't heard from anyone receiving approval from NBC.

I filed in Feb online just got my interview date for September 25th!! Newark NJ

 

Time to swot up. Ive just had major surgery will this have an impact on the questions etc? And is the oath the same day or is that scheduled another day?

Am feb filer too still watting for interview after fp since feb my fingerprints  done feb 29th now watting since that noupdate still watting even i dont have combo !
