I'm about to apply for the AOS/Green card for my wife and stepdaughter and dont know what to pay for. I'm positive I read somewhere on the app that if they had a medical exam within the past year they would not need to pay for another medical exam. But on the directions for AOS/green card it says first page " USCIS no longer accepts forms submitted without the correct biometric services fees. You must pay the applicable biometric services fees at the time you file your form. We will reject your form if we receive it without the correct biometric services fee, as specified in the form instructions.  Any help would be a huge help. I'm afraid to send it without the biometric service fee and have it rejected and add even more time because it has Advance Parole added to it so they can fly home and visit their sick family, and I dont want my ignorance to ruin their green card application.

Biometric fee is different from medical  (I-693). So, the fee will be $1,225 total for AOS ($1,140 application fee + $85 biometric fee)

12/09/2017 Received Biometrics Appointment Letter (for i-485 and i-765)

01/16/2018 %%Received combo card%% (tracking shows USCIS sent it on Jan 11 from MO, then Jan 15 USPS closed for MLK day) 

01/20/2018 Received approval letters for EAD and AP

09/20/2018 Received text 'Interview was scheduled' and interview notice will be mailed

09/27/2018 Received Interview notice by mail

10/25/2018 Interview day

10/26/2018 I-485 case status updated to "We ordered your new card"

10/29/2018 Case Status updated to "We approved your Form I-485"

10/31/2018 Case Status updated to "We mailed your new card"

11/01/2018 My card was picked up by the USPS with tracking number assigned

11/05/2018 Green Card Received 

 

Side note: I turned my maiden name into second middle name. In the combo card, my given name is First Firstmiddleinitial, however on the back of the card, they attempted to list my second middle name.

Makes sense.  Just discovered another potential issue. According to my wife,  I already sent the translated divorce copy from previous marriage when we applied for her K-1 VISA. Do we need to send another translated divorce petition again with the AOS application or will they have what I sent already on file ?
