When being charged from US consulate when filing DCF in the UK, is the charge 'american' or 'uk'? i still have/use an american credit card for some things, but occasionally it'll decline if it's been a  while/amount is high and i'll need to ring them to authorise it. would the charge be 'foreign' for my us card? what have you guys used? us credit card or uk credit card? any problems?

Dunno about UK but the embassy here processes US cards and charges US dollars.

I believe that in the case of the embassy here if you want to pay in foreign currency you have to bring cash.
