Hi guys,

I posted my IR1 petition to Chicago yesterday, my husband luckily lives here with me but his visa is up in November, so he’ll be going home then and waiting for me. I was a conditional LPR and moved home to NZ with my husband after he separated from the USAF, I was there for the whole 2 years of my green card. This isn’t my first experience with immigration, so it’s not as daunting thankfully!

I’m curious about how long your whole IR1/CR1 processes have been taking please? That way my husband and I can have some kind of idea how long we potentially may be apart for again.

Wow that’s a really long time! The processing times have definitely increased significantly since I went through this last. What state are you immigrating to?

I hope you get an interview date soon!

Immigrating to Arizona :)

From what I have read the NVC schedules interviews in the last week of the month for the month following, so expecting that it will be a few more weeks before we get an appointment.

Have you found out what service centre you petition has been sent to? Hopefully not Nebraska, they are sloooooow. Texas seems to be the fastest.

I’m crossing my fingers that you get a interview date ASAP.

I havent received my NOA 1 yet, but it’s only been 5 days since my petition was received, so I’m thinking I have a few more weeks until I receive it. I’m really hoping for Texas or Vermont! They seem to be the quickest
