Not a good choice.

If he had a relation with a married woman there is a good chance both parties will be charged with Adultery.

I have had one friend get adultery charge in Phiippines, He had to pay the husband to have charges dropped.

It's the kind of thing you take into consideration when you look for a woman in another country where such laws exist and choose a woman who is legally married.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Actually not really,

Most Americans wouldn't be aware of that it chargeable offense.  And most are not aware of how the legal system works in the Philippines.  If you are charged with a crime you can usually make a deal with the accuser to have the charges dropped.

My friend was at the time a captain with the PNP and had 600 guys report to him in Davao City,  he was charged and even with his connections he couldn't make them go away.

You send an American over and suggest he hooks up with an married woman and someone in the  estranged husbands family finds out and gets angry and then next thing you know they have a good chance of being arrested or even killed.

The estranged husband or a family member will loose face in public, and that is one of biggest reason you see Americans getting killed in Philippines.

My Filipino girlfriend and I want to live together together forever in the USA.

She was married once before but her husband left her three days after they got married and he's probably in Canada. She hasn't seen or heard from him once since then. ( yeah, he's 1 of those )

The US Consulate wants a Cenomar wether she comes over as my fiance or for us to marry.

That's the catch-22.  How can she get a Cenomar showing she's single when her first marriage is registered. I understand divorces or annulments are almost impossible to get in the Philippines.

What are my options?

Thank you in advance.

Billy
