Hi there!

I am a Permanent resident here in USA and married to a US Citizen. We have two daughters together and would like for my mother and two sisters (ages 10 and 15) to come visit me At least 3 months  here in America. My questions are:

Can my husband be the one to sponsor them since I have no work here?

Can my two little sisters come with my mother to come here in US?

I would like my sisters to come so my mother won't be alone travelling. And I really hope they'll get approved!

Please help us answer our questions.

Thank you so much!

If they need a tourist visa (B1/B2), then no, your husband cannot sponsor them, they need to qualify for the visas based on themselves. For example, they need to show they do not have immigration intent and have enough money for the trip.

Your sisters can come as long as they are also granted visas.

Also, if everything goes smoothly and they get visas, when they arrive in the US, the CBP will grant them certain length of stay, which could be less than 3 months.

I used to get long summer holidays but it was not 3 months.

Most B applicants get 6 months but no guarantee.

Thank you the reply!

No. They don't have immigration intent to stay and live in USA they just want to visit me and my daughter's since we haven't come to Philippines and see them. They don't have enough money also to cover any expenses.

What is the best thing I can do? Will I just wait till I get a job here so I can sponsor them myself for their tourist visa?

Sure!

They have to show proof to the visa officer that they do not have intent. Only claiming is not enough. For example, they have to have ties at home, like a job that needs her return, or real estate.

If they do not have enough money, in my opinion, that would be a big issue. They, not you or your husband, need to show the funding to the visa officer. (Maybe you or your husband can give them a big gift by transferring money to their bank account. But even so, I still think it is difficult to get a visa.)

Just my opinion...

They have seen that one many times.

My mama don't have work. They are regular farmers that can sustain only specific needs for the family. My sister's are in schools too...if they can, I will let them come during vacation days but i guess its impossible for me to let them come and visit right?

Well its not your call, certainly seems a long shop, perhaps just your mother should try.

But my mother don't have work in the Philippines and have no big reason or ties at home...

Please help me!:(

Yes, your mother has ties at home, your sisters!!

If your mother applies for her visa alone, she should show that she still has 2 daughters at home under the age of 18.

You or your husband should wire your mother some money to show that she has enough to cover for her trip, but I personally think a 3 month trip just seems too suspicious.

Having your mother and sisters all come is very difficult...

Yes! Thank you!

Yes we will cover all her expenses coming here in US. Why would u think 3 month trip is suspicious?

Think of it this way, she's claiming her ties are her two young daughters. So how can she leave her daughters for 3 months?

3 months is very long, if her daughter can be without her for 3 months, are they strong enough ties for her to return?

I'm from a VWP country, and even VWP only allows visitors to stay for 90 days. I'm not an expert on this by any means, but just think 3 months sounds like quite a long time.

Thanks for your advice...

It seems like it's gonna be hard for me to let my mama visit here. Is it because I'm not a US Citizen yet....what"s  the difference it can make if ill become a us citizen and have work?....does it still require a good strong ties for my mother to come back to Philippines even if she's just visiting?

I know your mother is just visiting, but she needs to prove she is.

This has more to do with her own situation than you, she needs to show that she has reasons to return to the Philippines. You having a job or being a citizen don't prove anything for her....
