Hi,

I want to know if someone here did expedite the travel document for emergency reason .

I am sick,  not covered by any insurance here and I am scared that I end up with complicated condition with no money to cover all that.  I want instead to travel back home and check what is wrong with me it much more cheaper.

Any one did expedite his travel document here?

How did you do  ?
What proof did you send  ?

How much time to get travel document in hand ?

I am thinking to go do consultation and ask the doctor to write a paper stating that I need more things to do (like blood analysis) so I added as proof if they request proof

I don't have any advice about the travel document/expedite, but just wanted to remind you that there are usually a lot of low cost clinics and hospitals that will let you apply for financial assistance, usually based on your income.

I don"t know bro. It seems like it will be so expensive for my case to check what is gong on...So worried , and confused,. I don't know waht to do... I just think I need the AP so I can leave for urgent case and get help there and come back when I am feeling better

And that's your choice - I'm just speaking from the perspective of a (female) nurse for 16 years - I've seen many many many patients who have gotten financial help for medical issues. While you're waiting to resolve your emergency AP you could at least look into it.

I really thank you..That is helpful . Of course i'll consider that..having more choices is better.

So I just need to check out the clinics around here if they offer financial help and how that works ...

Dear friend.

please don’t rush expedite travel on uscis, every consular officer that I asked told me the same , ap lets you travel for emergency back & forth but none of them would recommend it due to issues on returning , if you really that sick you’ll be stuck overseas & then here they will ask you why didn’t you get care here in the first place , if your partner wants to take care of you here in the us , why didn’t he/she made sure you are covered , it will raise many unnecessary questions. I would if I was you try to finance care , so you can stay here by any means , you can pay it off later when your process is done but please listen to me take care of your health now don’t leave here, you can get help , call Medicaid or go to your local community center & ask what’s the best to do in your case maybe they have programs where you can get help, do all this first before you consider to leave here!

Bummer!

There must be  something cheap you can find too. I just got out of thread reading something about health care . Try google affordable health care there must be something that pops up for you read through the policies not that you get something bad & always aim for those you can cancel anytime. Even if they are a bit more expensive. It will all pay back later but that is something you must do bc you need medical attention. Good luck

Unfortunately, it becomes more common now with the increasing cost of healthcare. I have to pay an additional  $380/- mo to add my husband to my company's health insurance.
