We just recieved our NOA 2! YAY! What do I need to do next? Is the process almost over????

Congratulations! You still have a bit of work to do, but the good news is the worst is over (in my opinion at least :) ).

Once you receive your NOA2, this means your case is now being forwarded to the NVC. This part took a little over a month for us (NOA2 12/1 and NVC received 1/17); however, I believe it moved slower at that time due to the holidays, and it is moving faster than this now. Once the NVC receives your case, the beneficiary will receive a notification and their packet in the mail containing instructions for their interview with the embassy. The rule of thumb is once two weeks or more have passed from your NOA2 date, you can begin calling the NVC for updates. I happened to call them on 1/18 and was told they'd received our case the day before, and they also provided our case number to me over the phone. As soon as you have the case number from the NVC, the beneficiary can begin scheduling and completing their medical requirements. They told me that the beneficiary should wait until they receive their packet in the mail before scheduling their interview. This all moved very fast for us, though; my fiancé's medical is scheduled for February 15 and his interview is the 22nd. There were earlier dates available for the interview, but because of the date of his medical, he picked the latest one they had (the 22nd).

As far as what you can do in the meantime - just begin preparing yourselves for the interview! Collect any additional documents or evidence you may need and have that ready. Best of luck to you!! :) You're about at that home stretch!!

Håll ut, y'all.

@Turkishgirl you filed for I-130 at least that is according to your time line, your case is different than that of K1...when NVC gets your information you can call and get a case # and invoice number to start filling forms out and submitting the evidence they are asking for, in our case it will not go to the embassy to schedule interview until after you have done the work you need to on your end.

it is true your spouse can go get the police clearance that is needed but can not schedule the medical exam until after you have completed most work at the NVC stage. since you are a spouse VISA and not a fiancee visa you can go here

to look at all the steps that will come for you on the NVC stage.

Congratulations!

Did you receive the approval notice at a foreign address in Turkey?

Good luck with the next steps! :)

SInce, I am around the same time line. Does getting the police clearances make it faster?

you need to have the police certificate to submit to NVC it will not make it go faster, but you must have it as part of the evidence NVC needs.
