Hello everyone,

i wonder if anyone has experience with having recently tried to expedite a work permit.

i filed my AOS for the second time. First time we did not send complete RFE (we were just not aware of it), so my application got denied.

My second AOS package was received on Janary 4th, 2018

I received my biometrics and did an early walk in

i received a job offer January 30th

i requested an expedite that same day.

i haven’t hear back yet, but the lady helping me with the request explained that they will get back to me within five days. I also contacted my congressman to kindly ask for assistance.

My questions is what are the chances that this will be successful considering they received my application pretty recently? Has anyone managed to successfully expedite within short period of time?

Why would you ask a congressman for assistance? You are not even a month into ths process yet. Also what is the reason for a expedite, do you have a job offer? If not then more than likely they will deny the expedite.

@cyberfx1024 yes I have a job offer. The reason I expedited is because it’s a really good job in my industry that won’t be easy to land twice. I didn’t actuallt apply to it either - the recruiter found me and I decided to give it a try. They are willing to wait for me if it does not take longer than a month.
