You should expect this shortly, in 2-5 days I would say.

You just need the AOS and IV cover sheet which are now appearing on your system, and that´s all you need to send your documents.

No need to wait for the DS260.

I'm starting to get nervous, I got the NOA2 almost 7 weeks ago today, and I called yesterday to the NVC Center, and no case number yet.

Do you know when it was sent? if it was ? I've been hearing that texas takes longer to send them over.

My I-130 was approved on January 16 and I called the NVC and was told that it takes around 6 weeks for them to receive the documents and to get an NVC number, I'm so confused why is it taking that long when I am reading on here a lot of people received their NVC number in 3 weeks or less.

it can take up to 6 weeks to receive them. Then after they put it in the system as received it takes up to 2 weeks to assign a CN and IIN or maybe longer. After 2 weeks if they still haven't assign the number they send it to a supervisor for review to assign it. from this point it can take up to 6 weeks to get the CN. For example in my case:
mine was sent on 26 Dec.

received on the 8 Jan.

on 23 Jan sent to a supervisor

on 26 Jan they put another note

today is the 3 Feb no case number yet.       they are saying they are having the largest case income ever that's why it is taking so long. The explained that they get thousands of cases at once that are in smaller stacks. and it takes time to go through all of them. I have seen people with the same dates at once and they already have their case number and moving on with the other steps at NVC. On Monday it's gonna be exactly one month since they have had my case there. I don't want to scare you. I'm just saying this so you know how it works. Just be patient, and I know it's so easy to say it but we don't have another choice. Everything is gonna be OK.

I wish you good luck.

The letter says it was sent on dec 15/2017, but after checking the tracking number it says that was sent to department of state on jan 26/2018. It looks like is taking 6 weeks to just send the case from uscis to nvc center, I am wondering how long do I need to wait for the NVC case number. Yesterday I called and nothing yet, this is so frustrating 😪

1st SD Dec. 26, 2017

Checklist: Feb. 2, 2018

Country: Peru

So, I received a checklist today. They can't accept my husband's Peruvian birth certificate as is. That's about all the checklist says and to send them one they can accept.

The birth certificate was issued by a "Municipalidad Distrital" and we did not get it certified by RENIEC. He was not born in Lima, so our birth certificate needs to come from a "Consejo Distrital" or "Provincial Distrital"; a "Municipalidad distrital" is the only district that issues birth certificates where he was born. I am hoping that RENIEC, the national authority, can certify a birth certificate signed by the "Municipalidad distrital" and NVC will accept that. Any other Peruvians or latin americans with something like this issue?
