what is the mistake you made? Im also on this step, they have my docs and got a scanned date, waiting for CC!

Yes you can, we talked to an nvc agent for our case about the same thing. First we sent aos package and iv package same time and after 1 week we did iv fee and ds260

Can you please explain the process  a bit more to me?

We get the case number and iin number. 

We fill the ds261.

We pay the aos fees.

We wait for the welcome letter and put that on  top of the documents along with the aos fee print out with bar code. And send the documents to  nvc. 

Then later we  fill out the ds260 and pay the visa fees.

Am i right???

I just called n got the same thing about sending to the supervisor.  I asked the rep how long and she said up to six weeks. It was already sent to the supervisor 2 weeks ago!  For God’s sake, get a move on it!

Yes, you get the case number and invoice number, then your able to do the ds261 once that is done they will send you a welcome letter and unlock the aos fee button, some people are lucky and can pay both fee at the same time but we could only one so we got the I 864 form and all documents together but then the other iv fee (2days to unlock other fee) was unlocked so we paid that fee and sent both packages in at that time, then the iv fee was complete then they unlocked the ds260, which now we are waiting on the review of all our documents there hoping for a Cc soon hopefully this makes since to you if you have any questions just ask we will answer if we can, hope your case goes smoothly for you :))

Thank you @Hitesh..Tammy. I will definitely ask anything I need to here. You guys are So helpful. We are waiting for our case number. Nvc received our case on the 16th Feb. No case number yet!

So it took less than two weeks between SD and CC. That's awesome. I hope you all get a CC soooooooon, and move onto the interview phase.

Yes you can but they won't work on your case until your file is complete, meaning you would have to submit DS260 and pay the fees before you can get a CC

Got a checklist back in 1/24...still waiting as of today. they are not organized and you really dont know what order they work with lol.

They go by country then priority date.

This is what they say but I really doubt it. It took less than 3 weeks to review all my documents and then gave me a checklist for two blank pages missing. I send these documents and it was scanned in their system within 3 days of the checklist date...so you would expect pretty much the same time of 3 weeks or so....now I am going into 5 weeks and nothing yet. I highly doubt that their workload for this country doubled to a point that in 3 or 4 days difference it would take double the time to process....

I just confirmed from the ups tracker that nvc received our aos and civil documents today at 9:10am EST.

 

Does anyone have an idea...

On an average, how many days would it take them to scan? When do i call them to confirm my scan date please?

as far as scanning, this is the best thing NVC usually do in a timely manner. It takes 2-3 business days in most cases including mine. Good luck
