yes you are right, it takes longer for the pivot cases. they told me once that it's taking so longs because they are updating the system all the time and adding more countries eligible for the upload system(at the beginning it was only 6 embassies and that's why I guess it was taking them only 1-3 days to give a case complete last year) and also all the K1 Visas are pivot cases. And I guess they need to train people who can use this system and review our documents.

Sorry i am a bit confused with your answer. Does it mean that if i get cc today then will i be informed in the end of march for my interview date or my interview will be on some date in the end of march. Can you please share your cc date and interview date? Thanks

Do we send photocopies of petitioners financial documents to  nvc and take originals to the interview or send originals to nvc and take photocopies to  interview.

Send the photocopies to nvc and take the original to the interview.

I have another question if anybody could help.  For ir5 visa we have to  pay just one aos fee of $120 For both parents.  But we get one aos cover letter to  go on the application.  So what do we put for the other application.  Do we make a copy of it? Thanks

I received my NOA 2 a month ago. What is the process that follows NOA and how long does it take to get a response for the interview at this point?

L&J15, when you say they haven't programmed for the DR and are still waiting for an interview date, what do you mean?  My husband is from the DR so I'm just curious what this means and will be interested to see what your interview date is so I have an idea of how far out they are scheduling. We just paid our fees today so we still have some time before getting to this point but just trying to prepare and attempt to plan...Thanks!!!

You can start calling after week 3. Its been taking 4 weeks so far, so you can even call at your 4 weeks mark.

Just atleast call to ensure they have received the files.

Ok.. I mean, I have 2 weeks waiting for an interview, I call NVC and they just say that there is still nothing. I was previously seeing cases from RD and they received their interview a week after their CC so I don't know why this time they're taking so long to schedule... at the rate that we're going, I think it'll be my turn for April..

Thank you for the explanation. It's so frustrating how inconsistent everything is with this process. Wishing you good luck getting your interview date soon. I will look forward to your update when you get the date.

called nvc since no case # and they received it 4 weeks ago and person on phone said after its sent to supervisor they have 6 weeks to review and get case # so total 8 weeks since they get it, goes to supervisor, and time they have to give case #. hopefully doesn't take this long....
