Hi. We've found "At NVC" on our visa application status today, so we called and confirmed that our case was indeed completed. But, when we asked if we had a "checklist," the person on the phone told us that we did. One of the items on the checklist is "domicile." In our case, the petitioner is in Japan and doesn't currently have any job in the US. However, according to the person on the phone, the petitioner has to have proof of being employed in the US. In my research so far, no one who didn't have a job in the US got an item on the checklist for that. Is this a new thing?

Actually, it took 7 weeks to complete, but thank God I didn't get a checklist and I still don't have an interview date, because they haven't yet programmed for DR, I'm still waiting..

Hola.

I had the worst thing possible happen today.  SD is 1/25. logged in this morning to find that status changed to "AT NVC" then called and got through after 30 minutes on hold to be told the case isn't even being reviewed yet.  Called back, got the same answer from a different rep.  I logged back in and the status message reverted back to the same "Action Required Status."  No checklist, no CC, nothing.  Just a cruel joke?

Something similar happened to me, then, when I checked, I wrote the case number wrong, after two weeks I got my CC, but calm, you will soon have your CC!!
