NVC Filers - February 2018

Well our 2nd scan date is 2-16-18.  Hopefully this time it won't take them 11 weeks to review 1 piece of paper!

Hi! Our case was sent to Dept. of State on the 25^th of January 2018. It has been 25 days since we received the notice. How long must we wait to get the case and receipt number from NVC? Thank you

It took us 2 weeks but I think it depends on your case! It seems to be taking some people longer

Hello everyone!

 

I received my case number and invoice ID on thursday 02/15/2018.

 

Its not monday and i cant log in. i keep getting this message

 

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error."

 

Has this happened to anyone? how long will it take for me to be able to log in?

 

its frustrating. USCIS took 6 WEEKS!!! after NOA2 to mail my file out to NVC. Once NVC received it took them 3 weeks to assign a case number and now i have to wait again for this. It was pointless getting a case number if i cant do anything. 2 months lost because of USCIS.

I had the same issue with mine. I received NOA2 letter 11/5/2017 indicating approval on 11/2/2017. Was told to wait 6weeks for NVC to receive the paper work. I called NVC on 12/19/2017, NVC still had not received anything and was advised to call USCIS. so I called USCIS, and was told the case was still pending, I requested for a supervisor who verified an approval the letter (NOA2) was sent and she said my paperwork be will forwarded to NVC same day (12/19/2017) Had I not called the paper work would prolly be sitting there!

On 12/27/2017 I called NVC again and was told they received the package same day I called.

so please call USCIS and confirm they have sent the package and be sure the status also changes on online, cos mine did not change until next day after I called.

I didn't have that issue tho, maybe because its a holiday today but that should not be a prob to pay online. I guess you'll have to give the portal sometime to open up for payment. USCIS process can be daunting but NVC so far for me is a lesser stress. Just hang in..

Congrats on your CC!!! I keep checking online every three days with hope for mine!! I know someday this whole waiting will be over and we'll move to the next phase of life.

It should be open up by tomorrow. They are closed today, not sure why it was opened up on Friday.

Good day everyone! I am hopeful that if our case was received in the early 20s that this week is our week! Keep praying! CC on its way!!

Yea I know, but based on the trend the past couple of weeks its been taking 4-5 weeks. So I am praying.

I dont know.. i thought it would take a day or two to open but nothing.. i tried this morning and still get the same message. Ill wait i guess cant do anything else.

Ive talked to a couple of people who got the same error but it opened the following day. Maybe because its a holiday it will take longer who knows. I guess i will have to wait.

Amen 🙏🏻. Mine is 26th of January, I’ll watch out for your updates as well. I believe yours is 24th. Hopefully we get our CC this week.
