I believe your attorney is mistaken.  The cover sheet for the IV package requires that the Police Certificate is sent in and translated if applicable.

I knew he was wtong it clearly says it on checklist ugh 😔 he just mailed it out should my husband mail it now? So it does need to be translated?

Sending it from Nevada would be faster and more affordable than sending it from Nicaragua.  Perhaps you can call the NVC and ask them to add it to your package.  Make sure to add an attachment to the document to add it to your package.  It's better than nothing .

The attorney already sent the package but NVC has not received it yet. So we should be good if we send the police record now? Does it have to be original? Should he send it to me and ill send to NVC? Or can he scan it to me? Sorry i am so nervous and scared that i will get a checklist

As far as translating documents is concerned:  The requirements are that for any docs that are in the native language, they must be translated by a competent, certified agency to English.  This includes Marital, Birth, and Police Records.  Be advised that this process takes a few hours to one whole day.  So I would have him do this quickly and scan them to you, then get on the horn with NVC and see if you can supplement your package before they review.

Don't be discouraged and have hope!  I have  a feeling you will fix this.  :)

It need to be translated and then you send the translated version and a copy of the original. You dont need to send the original. you should take them to the interview.  But since they haven't received it as yet, do so now.

Mu pleasure!

Yes copies and PDFs are totally fine.  As Curiousmind indicated, your husband should maintain the originals to bring with him to the interview.  He should also make copies for himself to take to the Consulate.  Make sure ALL of your beneficiary civil docs are translated if they are not in full English.

Hi Rose, you said that you submitted your documents on the 1/31 right? Did you get a checklist prior to that? I asked because the process that we are currently going through is called the review process. So they most times tell us that its currently under the review process and we will hear something within 11 weeks. Was that the kind of response you got? @Rose Sharon

I submitted my documents on 01/24 but they  told me that they  received them on 01/30. I stated calling them a week after that. during the first week when I was calling them they were repeating me they same thing like it take up to 11 weeks to review all  my documents. now yesterday when I call they told me that my documents were on the review department and today I call again and the documents are on the final stage of review  that what they told me

I didn't receive a checklist . I pray not to receive one

I am the 25th, so I am also curious...  It gives me hope that ours could be finished at the same time!  Perhaps Rose is more persuasive with retrieving information?  Haha.
