Agreed. I did not do that either. I submitted police certificates for my husband and that was fine I received a checklist for not putting the date on  my i-864 and that's it . Court records isn't necessary unless it's country-specific or you are specifically asked for that. When you do your fingerprints for your police certificate it checks for all criminal background

It all depends what state and country you are applying to. Because my state when u submit fingerprints it only checks at the state level not federal. Everyone's case is so specific. It's crazy! Lol

Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner? Because if you are the petitioner you are not required to submit police clearance/ certificate to National visa center,  you only have to submit police clearance of the beneficiary. And some countries like Pakistan beneficiary does not have to submit police certificate

Is there any advantage on using the Ask NVC web site instead of the phone?

I am wondering if by using it, you are already giving them the email for any contacts.

Today massage off an RFE..... policy certificate. Well it is send in the package, the only legitimate agency that makes them it in the Netherlands made it and it’s in English translated.

Can’t even explain how frustrating this is anymore.

mine was received on the 8th Jan

Hello Everyone,

For anyone whose case was received by NVC in January and has still not received a case number/ invoice number after the 2 week mark, please call every single day.

My docs were received Jan 29th, I called and they told me to wait 2 weeks, I waited and the 2 weeks was up on Feb 12th.

As soon as it hit the 2 week mark this past Monday, I took it upon myself to be a pest! I called 4 times everyday. I got " you should have gotten your case number by now", "we are currently behind", "let me send your case to a supervisor and it might take 6 WEEKS for him/ her to review it".!!!!  I kept up my 7 am, Noon, 3pm and 8pm calls and must have gotten a supervisor referral 4 times.

Ladies and gentlemen, I called last night at 9pm and the nice man on the phone gave me my case and invoice numbers and said they were just created. So, I got my case number after 2 weeks and 2 days of my case getting to the NVC.

Moral of this story/epistle, call them back to back, become a pest, lol. Be very nice on the phone though. This is especially for anyone who has reached the 2 week mark.
